Giant Opal Parcel Pays Out Thousands!
Noah and I where lucky enough to score this giant parcel of Lightning Ridge potch and colour and two full buckets of Koroit Boulder opal.
This gamble cost us a total of $1200 but we where pretty confident that at worst we would break even. At best well we got a very nice surprise and after rubbing back one of the black bits of potch and colour it revealed an amazing colour bar of green and blue opal!
We sent off a bunch of pictures and videos a friend who sells primarily black opal and he valued it at $500 a carat making the value of that one stone a staggering $3500!
On top of that we managed to make up two additional parcels of black rough opal and Boulder opal worth a couple of grand each.
All in all a worthwhile gamble parcel!

That Bolder Opal came out looking very nice! They would make some really unique belt buckles, like plenty of guys wear here in Texas. Especially during rodeos! Gotta have your western shirt, jeans, belt buckle, cowboy boots and hat!

Reminds me of the time I took hammer to my moms limestone rockery, looking for fossils.....I got a fair bit of gravel, a nice fish fossil and a thick ear from my mom..........The good times! Nice one lads.

Hell yeah boys. That's the way to do it. The fact that ya know how to cut nice stones from your material gives you a great advantage if you're buying parcels like this. Even small stones are full of promise ive noticed. And folks love buying 1ct. Ringstones because they sit in a more affordable price range for the average hobby jeweler. Imo 30 minutes per stone, sell the stone for 50 bucks usd is a pretty decent hourly wage. All depends on what bills you gotta pay though! Always love to see you guys win! Now this, buying a few buckets of rough and finding a profit amongst them. This is a really cool channel to find! I recently got married and the engagement ring I got her was an opal. All the research I did got me really into opal.
