I think you should use ballistic eyewear when handling snakes. These glasses are used on shooting ranges to protect the eyes from accidental bullet fragments. I think they will save your eyes from snake fangs if the situation gets out of hand sharply.

Snakes maybe more comfortable in small spaces but they hate being in captivity. In the wild pythons find a very secluded den and spends the next number of weeks watching over the eggs. I know they need to get the eggs to make sure all the offspring survive for their purposes but I’m sure the snake is stressed out by her babies being taken away. Not nice. She has no way of knowing what happened to her eggs
