great model I used to do it years ago but when the fuel went up I had to stop it I could no longer afford it. but now I live in a bedsit I don't have the room for it now so am making the Trumpeter 1/200 scale of the Titanic and the 1/200 scale of the Yamato

I spotted the nose of a Fournier RF4 👍 I used to own the real thing for about 10 years G-BHJN

I ran this at 50% speed and it could almost be the real thing!

Big fan of the AVRO Lancaster. Brilliant handling of the model , very realistic flight. Just one question: are the tires in the same scale of the model?

Lumbering scale speed looked right.

This is a beautiful model but I'm just wondering wouldn't it be better to be fitted with some kind of parachute launcher if things go wrong? It would at least help save it from complete destruction?

Amazing, even as a model it has that 4 engine heavy sound at takeoff. Impressive. Can it drop bombs???
@rc_plane_guy13 ай бұрын
Quite often the guys that fly these do fit bomb drop mechanisms.. so most likely yes, but this one didn’t at the time of filming it

@@rc_plane_guy1 I seem to remember some lads put a bouncing bomb mechanism on one and tested it on a lake. Can't find it on youtube though

This model of Lancaster is the BIII Special which was used for the dams raid (you can see the modified bomb bay) so if it did drop a bomb it would have to be an upkeep bouncing bomb which would be awesome!

@@petetimbrell3527The guy on the ProjectAir KZbin channel made a bouncing bomb dropping Lancaster a few years ago.

As someone who doesn't participate in this hobby, I have to ask why, having built a super accurate, excellent model, is it fitted with propellers with just two blades instead of three? The whole image is entirely spoilt.
@rc_plane_guy13 ай бұрын
It’s usually down to engine performance, you generally get a lot more power from 2 blade’s. The engines have to work harder to swing a 3 or 4 blade. Also the 3/ 4 blades are pretty expensive and can easily be damaged if you have a bad landing and tip over a little too far etc. 2 blader’s are cheaper and generally withstand a lot more wear and tear.
@ericlloyd90243 ай бұрын
Also it is meant to be seen flying not parked up so the number of blades doesn’t matter.

@@rc_plane_guy1 Thanks for the explanation.

@@ericlloyd9024 Hmmm.. not sure I buy that. If it's merely meant to be seen flying, why the fine detail which can only be appreciated at close quarters? Forgive my critique, as I said, it's not my hobby.

That's nit picking . It's a beautifull representation of a magnificent aircraft aircraft 👍👍👍👍
