I wanted to let everyone know that Zoe passed away peacefully this morning. She was 12 years old and had been sick for the last few days. I want to thank everyone for their comments. We never expected this video would receive so many views.

I am so sorry to hear you lost Zoe. It's hard to say goodbye to a beloved companion. I have been watching Mini Schnauzer videos after losing mine in November. He was almost 14, looked very much like yours and made similar sounds. Such a goofball. 💖 Thank you for sharing these memories, it's neat to see such a gentle giant at play. I really miss my mini schnauzer of 15 years old. He passed away almost 2 years ago. I buried him in my front yard. By far one of the best dogs I have ever owned. RIP Banjo.

OMG too cute, the giant is trying to teach the mini the “beard fighting” game! Apparently the beards are useful in minis to ward off defensive bites of prey (eg rats).... if a schnauzer can beard fight well, the rat will try to bite their face but only end up with a mouthful of beard!

@@shicksr1 I got him from southern star schnauzers- you can find them on facebook under this name. The breeder is amazing and Atticus (my giant) is my sweet baby. He's wonderful.

awww this makes my heart melt. I wish our Giant and mini got along like this. We adopted our mini 3 years ago and we think he came from a abusive or had something loose in it's head... it would always bite us. It finally started warming up a year or so later. Seemed to get along fine with our peekapoo of 13 years old. Then we brought in our Giant, and she just turned one year old... unfortunately the mini attacked her as a pup several times and I think the giant remembered that because just over the weekend she attacked him and caused great damage... to the point that we had to put the mini to sleep. It is heart breaking. We loved him but he was always on high alert and tense... I'd like to think that we extended his life by 3 years because with how many times he's bitten me and my wife, any normal person/family would have given up on him on the first month.. Very sweet dog when he wasn't biting but you just never knew when he would turn from a cute mini into a mean mini and then back like nothing happened... Training, dog behaviorist, meds...etc. None of it did anything for him which leads us to probably something mentally wrong. Still love them though. Mini's and Giants are so great!

I used to own a Miniature Schnauzer (10 years old) and an Old English Sheepdog (1 year old). The size and age difference always cracked me up...as the OES would "let" the Schnauzer beat her up. And when the Schnauzer tired of the game, the Sheepdog would "slap her face" to get her going again. Good times.

I wonder if the giant lowers his head to the point that the mini’s head is above...meaning if the giant understands that the mini would naturally be submissive and perhaps apprehensive. I have a sense that the giant is letting the mini know that “we are just playing “.

Beautiful doggies, they are all smart and sweet and loving, from mini to standard to giant, they are the best breed, next to poodles, cross breed poodles and sheep dogs. Cute semi-docked tail on the mini, they need to be docked because they are rat hunters and vermin can latch on to there tails. My Nilly had a run in with a rare rabid possum, it jumped on her backhand started clawing at her fur (possums are usually docile and eat other pests but this one was foaming at the mouth, very rare fora possum to have rabbits but Nilly was just protecting her house and me) and I couldn't get a clean shot with my .38 special, but she put her front paws down and back paws jump flipped that little fucker off her and it gave me enough time to grab her and put her in the house so she didn't get infected and then that thing came after me and was rabid and I just flight or fight reacted and hit it with an ax, I didn't want to kill it but rabbits can kill you, but thankfully Nilly and I were unscathed and I stopped a rabid beast that may have killed a small child or dog, it never feels good to kill sometihing, but sometimes it has to be done for the great good.
