Giant Southern California Bluefin Tuna {CATCH CLEAN COOK}

Stoked On Fishing Charters heads out deep sea fishing on the Simrad boat, a 35 foot Everglades; on a mission to catch a GIANT Bluefin Tuna. They hook up to a MONSTER bluefin using live Macoral for bait and land him after an exhilarating two-hour brawl. There is nothing better than fresh yellowfin tuna, straight out of the water, cleaned and cooked. To celebrate, the next day captain Andrew Pereira fillet the giant tuna and used it along with some Alaskan rockfish to prepare a catch and cook feast, cooking Bluefin Tuna curry, seared Bluefin, Tuna steaks, Bluefin Tuna poke, Bluefin Tuna poke sashimi, and rockfish ceviche.

We like it. What a chef. Good job on the production, quality of the movie, and taste effect. Start to finish it’s a 9.25 out of 10. The production only needed some more angles on the boat with some mixed in short shots plus trendier music to be a 10/10. Cheers to you all at Stoked On Fishing.

We caught this fish at Desperation Reef on the backside of San Clemente! The rod was an Okuma PCH-C-741XXXH PCH Custom Series Conventional Rod. The reel was an Okuma Andros 2-Speed A-Series Lever Drag Reel. Thanks for the support 🤙

We caught this fish at Desperation Reef on the backside of San Clemente. The rod was an Okuma PCH-C-741XXXH PCH Custom Series Conventional Rod. The reel was an Okuma Andros 2-Speed A-Series Lever Drag Reels. That day that day the reel had 100-pound spectra to 100-pound mono with a 100-pound fluorocarbon leader. The Spectra to mono was a Uni-to-uni knot and the mono to fluorocarbon was most probably a surgeon's knot. We were using a size 4 circle hook.
