GIANT STURGEON JUMPS INTO KAYAK!!

This is a video from about 3 years ago, fishing a crystal clear creek, where we WATCH a huge sturgeon take the bait right in front of us!

Howdy Ty, that whole trip was SIK. I'm still working on wrapping my head around that they are in stuff like that. Thought they were lake breeds. That was a great interaction. But dudes beard was impressive.

The ones I have fished for all lived in saltwater and came into the rivers and streams to spawn. I think there are land locked ones too, but generally they live in the ocean and spawn kinda like salmon.

I remember this video. Such a cool spot to be sturgeon fishing. I do have a question Ty... Are these fish residents in this creek/stream, or do they travel up there from a bigger body of water to spawn? As always your content is just plain fun to watch bud.

I am assuming they are spawning. We have several different species in Florida and they all live in the Gulf of Mexico and come into the rivers to spawn. They could be land locked in a big lake, but I highly doubt they live in the streams. Most migrate from saltwater like salmon or steal head.
