Hey Leif! Lahontan cutthroats can only survive in alkaline lakes like this one! I've fished this lake as well as pyramid lake in Nevada (where these fish are native to) and the water is definitely not for drinking. If you ever get the chance, you need to make a trip down to pyramid lake! I just got back from a trip there where we caught multiple 15+ pounders! I plan on getting back out to this lake this spring. Last time we were there we fished the south bank and had really good luck on the fly! Awesome vid as always!
