Funny, Buster was saying he wanted to keep his life simple. No simple life as head of baseball operations Giants Fans will LOVE this.

Im a Dodgers fan and I have mad respect to Buster Posey. Hopefully they have some consultants that can support him, but this is probably the best move the Giants could have made from a front office stand point

It should Jeter 100% had an ego. Buster is such a cool nice dude. I say this as a die hard Dodgers fan. So you know I don't have a bias.
@_mokaleek_2 ай бұрын
There's a chance that could happen. But Posey has been a part of the ownership group for a few years, so I'm sure he's learned the ins and outs of running a team to a certain degree. Plus, it's the franchise he played with his whole career. He understands what this team means for the city and has that connection with the fans. Jeter couldn't say the same for Miami

I feel like running the marlins is hard but maybe if he ran the yanks he would have been more successful. Buster knows the sf winning culture. He knows how the team should be. -another dodger fan
@juancuelloespinosa2 ай бұрын
@@odamnitssam well, that makes some sense, but there's less pressure being president of a team like the marlins over the giants or yanks. I've heard superstar players tend to not make great coaches. Being team president I assume is like being a manager x6. But I wish him luck

zaidi belongs to the back room running analytics, he just doesn’t have the business acumen to make a deal. Posey is a smart guy and understands the big picture and is not afraid to take a right kind of risk. Great day for Giants fans and organization

Such a relief! Brighter days ahead. Farhan owes the Giants fans and organization reparations for the awful job he did. Arrogance, stupidity, stubborness and ignorance is what he represents. So glad he's gone. Good riddance.
@kryten092 ай бұрын
Yes, buster doesn't have experience... But I'm fine with that. The team isn't gonna turn it around next season but in some time... I think he'll build a competitive club. Look where the "tones of experience" from these business men gets most of them. Buster's been a leader for many years now. Not just that... But Buster brings an identity/culture to the team. That will bring in fans, that could bring in FA's.. He'll get the time/leeway to build something from fans.

Giants finally get rid of the man Dodgers knew was too given to seeing players, especially young ones, as interchangeable spreadsheet rows, not as people. That absolutely harmed their attractiveness to free agents, and was perhaps best illustrated in how he handled JD Davis. Overdue move, but then… They turn it over to a guy (one who is deservedly a franchise legend as a player) who claims the real reason free agents aren’t signing is because the city is a cesspool. Good luck with that approach!
