P.S. last year they had us ranked 14th before the 2023 draft. They had Houston Ranked 31st ,the Chargers ranked 7th & Minnesota ranked 8th So.....

PFFs purpose is as a media and fantasy tool… it’s not something that actual teams rely on when it comes to talent evaluation. Sleep tight knowing that the Giant will more than likely be picking 10-20 next year and not 1 -3… that seems clear!

@@CINO0816 I agree with you … they don’t have magic eye that sees everything! And 1/2 of what they do see suggests pretty bad eyesight! If they did see everting correctly, than their would be no need for actual football teams to have scouting departments and watch tape of existing NFL players prior to signing! We all know this…or perhaps the media PFF lovers out there would like PFF to watch you work at you Job all day and then report back to your boss that you rank right next to last at your position 9,999 out of 10,000 when it come to overall quality of reporting, poor linguistic ability, and slow cognitive processing when it comes actually understanding football basics! I’m thinking you would have a lot of questions with 0 answers on how the determined that ranking position!

When Schoen took over in 2022 that 9 win season was Gettleman’s roster and in 2023 he ripped the roster apart for a better financial future salary cap, 2024 this is Schoen’s team, he turned the roster over 90/10 Schoen/Gettleman . I believe Schoen will be fired if the team tanks again and it’s Schoens fault for not picking up the 5th year option

The top 14 are mostly last year's playoff teams with the Jets out of place. I would be surprised Rogers plays more than 12 games is as good a Mayfield was last year, just in an argument for the 15th position. He had a system he knew with a much better offensive coach 2 years ago and was 17th in passing yards, what makes them even rate Rogers even at 15 in their rankings with the injury and 40+, the offensive coaching is not as good with the Jets. I don't think the owner had anything to do with Jones, the GM decided to take a QB like the Steeler, Jones was the 2nd best QB 20/20 like Pickett was the best in that draft and I do not include Purdy because he was on no one's board including everyone on the internet, to say someone made a mistake the person saying that has to have at least mentioned the best guy in passing.

I'm not shocked. The only good roster Schoen had was the Gettleman roster(19) he won a playoff game with.

They picked #6 in the draft, which means they sucked last year. Adding a couple players doesn’t magically make the team good.

You aren’t adding any context to your comment. They had 3 quarterbacks start, behined a decimated offensive line that gave up a record number of sacks. They added a stud at reciever, a stud edge rusher and 2 bonifide established guards on top of having the best defensive tackle in the league. Their secondary is super young and unproven but other than that there is no way they are in the bottom 2 of the league roster wise.

They sucked because the OL was one of the worst in NFL history with Thomas and JMS not playing. Jones is average, but the weapons are legit, especially the WRs. The D would be a top 10 unit if Wink came back. Might take time to adjust to Bowen, but they have all pro level players in Dex and Okereke with Burns, KT, and Banks who have the potential to be close to that level. I would rather the perception of them be negative as they always played better when the media shits on them, but 31st is crazy with how good the D can be and the depth at WR. None of that will matter if the OL sucks again, but I have confidence that Bricillo will get them playing better. Jones isnt great but he isnt as bad as he played last year, either. Plus Daboll is a great HC, what he did winning 3 games with DeVito is incredible.

@@lewisalba7825yeah but last year as bad as they were they still won 6 games and could’ve won 8 or 9. Jets it was a miracle they won. Bills game Giants needed one yard to win plus a blown PI non call on Waller. Rams Giants had beat they missed FG to win. They r better team this year talent wise than last year. I’m not saying they good probably in 20 23 range but not 2nd worst in league. Giants have this bias against them in media for some reason.

If we r gonna go by PFF then PFF projects Devin Singletary to have 1100 yards rushing this season same as Saquon. Then Giants r paying a RB projected to have same year as Saquon 8 mill less year talk about that Gio u love PFF so much. Plus if Singletary gets 1100 yards Giants will not be awful this year they will at least be in the mix. So u can look at PFF any way u want they r all over the place.

The Giants lack of talent on the roster has been a little bit of an underrated story. A good coach can elevate lack of talent and that’s what’s been happening. Having said that there’s a lot of bad to mediocre teams in the NFL and 31st seems really low for the Giants.

Generally the same delusional outlets making these rankings had the Giants as a playoff team last year and fed them prime time game after prime time game. Most people put way too much stock into how the team played the season before.

Did you see how many missed tackles the Giant D had last year? It was beyond noticeable and actually became absurd. Jets D will prove out to be MUCH better than the Giants in 2024...and I'm a Giants fan...!!

Well what is your definition of "talent"? Giants have high hopes for guys like Hyatt and wan'dale but in the grand scheme of things they really haven't proved anything. Definitely no form of consistency. Qb is a big issue along with the offense line and arguably as it stands right now thomas is the only legitimate guy that you can point at. We haven't seen Jermaine play or Runyan play with this team yet to be able to claim that they are solid pieces. The secondary is filled with youth/inexperience and a couple of guys in flott/Holmes who haven't exactly been great themselves. Pinnock has shown some things but how will he play with Mckinney no longer there. I'm not surprised by the ranking.

Bobby O Andrew Thomas were top 10. Dex was in top 3 Burns Thibs were in top 32 of overall pass rushers in general. How could u have those players and be bottom 2 in league makes no sense

This is very helpful info. Because of this "expert" assessment, I am downgrading my estimation of the 2024 NYG Regular Season record to 6 - 11, from my previous estimation of 7 - 10. Ditching Saquon and paying Daniel Jones $140 million will go down as poor moves. If the Giants don't learn how to basic tackle on D in their pre-season work, and replicate last season's plethora of missed tackles, they could even be 5 - 12, or worse.... BTW, to Boomer's point re JJ Watt's assessment of PFF not being wholly reliable, what is PFF's track record over the last couple of years in their pre-season roster strength ratings correlating the final regular season records?
