Great vid ! Nice sheepsheads and the sheepshead sliders with grits looks fire 🔥

good vid JC. sheepshead are very finicky with the baits, they actually chew the crab on the hood before they pull away. that's why I put the small weight at the tip, and the size 2 mustad about 2-3 feet up. I can feel the smallest bite. tight lines..👋

JC, I got an idea every time you pinch off one of those good size claws or any of the claws off of the mud crabs if they’re decent size I think you should just throw it back in the bucket so when you’re done if the bite is really good but you keep losing the bait. You should try maybe one of the claws or two of the claws or three you know stacked up and catch me being an extra cheap pet on it or two or three.

Thanks for another great video .. looked like your hook was bent out of shape

Not sure why you lost the first few but it looked like your hook might have been bent out. That’s happened to me and I kept asking myself what the heck.

Great video JC, as far as sliders go you need to make sure that you have the Kings Hawaiian bread on Deck. As far as sheepshead sliders go that sounds pretty good

Hello jc happy fishing Wednesday night how have you been 👍🏼🎣

I really think you should always try to keep your line tight so you can feel the slightest bite as a bass fisherman no matter if you’re in Stillwater or moving water, you always wanna have your line taught enough that you could feel anything even if it’s a little loose you could still feel the slightest tap specially with sheep head. PS I love watching you fish and camp out in your truck. when I moved to Tampa, maybe we could fish Skyway camp, catch and cook. and I’ll cook.

The thing about sheephead you can’t give them too much time! Once you feel the bite set the hook quick

What’s the difference between a fiddler crab and a mud crab?
@Robert-h7h8iКүн бұрын
Try tying the crab with magic thread on the hook it will be harder for the sheep’s head to tear it off
@johnnyboygКүн бұрын
And plus once you see the line moving set the hook quick

It’s funny how I’m always looking for shade to keep my bait alive, and you keep your bait in the sun and I see them slowly dying. Is it better to use dead crabs? Can anyone answer? I’m asking because I have only used crabs once, and alive. I can always get dead ones at the bait shop. By the way, I only fished for convicts once, for 10 minutes.

It was a cold day. Those crabs actually stayed alive for two more days. I always rinse them off with saltwater at least every 6 hours. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I lost what I think would have been my pb sheep’s head (even beating my current pb i have now 18”) while fishing a bridge during the mullet run. Due to a pelican running into my line giving the sheepshead enough slack tho throw the hook
