Can anyone explain to me what happen at 1:40 into the video. Jurickson flied out and the runners tagged up, but wasn’t the catch made? And then somehow he threw it and it ended up in right field? Also Jurickson wasn’t out?

The ball was caught in relatively shallow area, so it was surprising that the runners tagged. First they threw the ball in to third, but when they threw back to second base to get the runner tagging from first, the ball sailed way off into right field, thus allowing both runners to keep going and to score. Profar was just standing on the field somewhere near first because even though he popped up, he should still run to first. I think he was just sitting there watching all the chaos unfold lol

You can tag up and advance on a fly ball, which is what both runners did. The right fielder (Yaz) caught the fly and threw towards 3rd base, but it was cut off by the Giants' shortstop who tried to throw back to 2nd base to get Tatis (advancing from 1st), but he threw it into right field, allowing both baserunners to score.

Don’t take my word for it ask Bob Chandler,Nick Canepa or Coach John Kentera It was 330’ down the Left field and Right Field lines. When Dave Campbell was doing Padres games Bob remarked “Dave would have hit about 20 HRS a year. If every pitcher is throwing 95-100 then hitters should be able to lock in. Obviously Manny is by far the better all around player. But in Nate’s day they didn’t throw out every ball after a hit so a Pitcher like Gaylord Perry could use a scuffed ball to his advantage. Catfish Hunter also.

They're called the "City Connect" alternative uniforms & everybody is baseball has them except the NY Yankees & the Oakland Athletics. Some people like 'em, some don't. The Padres "City Connect" uni's are a nod to their Mexican neighbors.
