kinda cant which is a bummer. with Harrison on IL, Winn on IL, and Snell on IL, we are running on 2/5 of our rotation. HOPEFULLY they all make a steady recovery, and im exited to see how Cobb and Ray do with the team.

Truly just astonishing, how we came into spring training figuring that we'd have Webb, Snell, Hicks, Harrison, Winn, and Beck all completing for spots. That's six potential starters to begin with, with Cobb initially expected back by May. Yet somehow, here we are at the end of June with only two guys healthy and pitching out of those seven.

This is a way different team then 2010 or 2012 Giants with the pitching rotation being in the top 3 ERA year round winning games 1-0 while that Starter goes 9 innings strong. That has not happened in quite some time from the Giants. Logan Webb came the closest with no hitter to the 7th inning. No other Giants pitcher has constantly gone to the 7th inning. Apparently they no longer home brew their pitchers like they did with Bumgarner, Lincecum and Matt Cain.

@@Wolfeson28 Cobb AND Ray expected back for mid year, so 8 potential starters and here we are with only 2 and we were lucky Hicks was that good (except last 2 starts). Lee and Wade injuries didn' help either...

Spencer Howard is the true hero here, if he gives up one run, or even two or three, which is acceptable for 4 2/3 innings, the Giants don't come back most likely, 1. Because they only ended up scoring five runs, 2. If the game had been busted open, their will to compete goes down a bit. Spencer Howard gave us 4 2/3 scoreless to keep us in this game, and save the bullpen from further misery. We have 5 SP on the IL (Snell, Ray, Cobb, Harrison, Winn), these bullpen game need to stop. But nonetheless, Spencer Howard is the player of the game
