From the highlights it looks like Shanks did ok. Not among the goals, but involved in both, while seemingly playing deeper and dropping wide a lot. Not sure what the thinking is to ask him to do that, but ok. Lovely little layoff to Forrest, and then controlling it and holding off the man for Christie's goal. Then taking charge and putting Tierney in down the left in the build-up to Adams'. Don't really get why we thought Gibraltar was a good warm-up game, but oh well.

Look at you all, complaining after a scotland win. Who cares if the guys didnt scroe from every shot or opportunity, we won with a clean sheet. Plenty of good to take from this game. Tons of chances so at least we know, its the finishing that needs more work. Long seasons for many players so a little tired here and there. Dont forget, some usual players missing too so maybe not the cream of the bunch we're used to seeing putting on a show.

Forecast .... battered by Germany, stifled by Switzerland and a 6- 6 draw against Hungary. We're playing the 2nd worst team in Europe needing to break out of a rotten run of form, we should be going out and scoring for fun and instead it took us an hour to break through - a major concern ahead of a tournament we showed promise in during qualifying, on that form I thought we had a decent chance of progressing but now I think we'll be lucky to manage a point and score a goal difference above -10
