It's an SG bass. The EB-3 is a different model which ended production in 1979.

Sorry Bryan. But is an EB3 bass. That was the designation for a two pick up SG bass.

Hi Stephen. To help reduce fret buzz. Did you tighten or loosen the truss rod?

Depends on your neck - you always want some relief around the middle (I take it at the 9th holding the 1st and 17th frets)

The large bridge screws adjust the action, if they are as low as they can be and stilk high then check there's not too much neck relief or any other problems - seen a few 60's ones where the neck angle is under set

just use a big flat head screwdriver and use the outside bolts for your action - remember to adjust the middle bolt with them to keep the bridge parallel to the body then a smaller screwdriver for the intonation on the saddles - meausre the action at the 17th fret if you want and just see where you like it

@@5150stephen is it as easy as to just use a flat tip screwdriver to lower the front of the bridge?..i have a new to me bass and the bridge is a little higher in front ..not level,,thanks for the video

@chrisbeaton4890 yeah pretty much, from memory the actual slot is the same size on all 3 and its just a smaller diameter on the front bolt

What did you use to clean the fretboard?

I lemon oiled it, but it was clean anyway, with caked on dirt I scrape it off

It's a Gibson SG bass guitar not a Gibson EB3 bass guitar. They stop making them around 1979.

Sorry that I have to deal with anxiety being on camera while I'm working, maybe try turning up your computer volume or try headphones? and at what point was this said to be a demonstration? I'm just filming me doing my thing..............maybe be a little more considerate to others before criticising them for goodness sakes
