The guitar shown was played through a Fender Deluxe Reverb from 1978 and recorded with a Shure SM57 (left) and a Sennheiser 409 (right) . The backing tracks were recorded into a Fame Twin Looper on the same instrument right before the recording of each video. A Red Panda Tensor was used for additional loops and sounds and a Electro Harmonix Freeze for sustain effects.. Overdrive Sounds come from a Vemuram Jan Ray or a Greer Amps - Ghetto Stomp and the Greer Amps Lightspeed was used as a booster.

Lovely to hear Herr Hoffman on this late-era L-50! I don't think I'd care too much for the way that pickup is rigged up, but the sound here is very intimate, with the help of those magic fingers. Tobias always harmonically dresses up the blues to make it so much more interesting, but never at the expense of feeling.

A Charlie Christian pickup would sound better to my ears, more punch and clarity, but that pickup (whatever?) sounds good - rather like a gold foil type?
