one of my all time favorite vehicles in history. you just can't make this up that easily. the car has (you've heard it before) a manual transmission, a jet turbine along with pistons, mind-controlled interface that controls some parts of the car (the little antennae on the front of the car and J.B Gibbson's visor), and an amazing design make this one of the most memorable vehicles I could ever imagine.

Hello, me. It's myself, from the future. I couldn't access my account for a while, but I had a lot to say in regard to this beautiful vehicle. The closest thing to the GRIFFON II is one of the Gordon-Murray supercars, but it pales in comparison to the legendary Griffon... The design is simply amazing... I much prefer the original design (see the hand-drawn, original art of the first, pre-modified Griffon model) over the Monster Machine. But the rotating fan on top of the engine bay of the second incarnation is just so damn sexy, it would reap the soul of any man who drove it the car. The closest we ever got to side air intakes that look similar to the Griffon's, is on the Mega Track supercar. I have rewatched this video FAR too many times, but I have forgotten some of the details that I noticed. Edit: one thing I forgot to mention is that the extra antannae on the car, and the exhausts connected to whatever the fuck created the insane plasma-blue ultra-hot light, is just... No words. I can imagine that, during the sequence of starting up the last incarnation of the Griffon, Gibson just nods to himself continously, out of satisfaction. Look at his smile. Look at the way he slyly glances over to the clutch and changes gears with his fucking mind. He grins while looking forward - the car has finally become one with Gibson. Each antenna being responsible for total control over the vehicle. Gibson may even FEEL the car, since when it falls on to the freeway, Gibson can see how many meters remained until impact. If you pay close attention to 11:07, you can see the exhausts creating unimaginable heat. However, the backfires come from the side-mounted exhausts. When Gibson is trying to evade the police @ 11:21, the car has backfires happening on both side exhausts, but also on the circular rear ones. This logic is kept @ 15:59. On promotional art for Episode 4 of Bubblegum Crisis, there is the Griffon interior being portrayed, and you can see that it closely resembles the ultimate Monster Machine... However, look at the speed gauge, if you found the image: "240"... It reads 240. Maybe 240 miles per hour, but we will never confirm this... It may be speculated that the blue instrument gauge color may mean 'cool/low temperature' because in both the intro sequence, and when Naomi is sitting on the car, both occasions seem to be engine startup sequences. This *may* not apply to 7:42, because the car had red gauges before the flashback scene. If the blinding blue-white light means the absolute limit of engine performance, then the extremely THICK smoke clouds that the Griffon produces may be more jaw-dropping than anybody initially thought... A bright yellow instrument cluster color may mean PEAK performance/engine temperature or something. When the Griffon goes *beyond* fast on the 15:55 freeway scene, the color is yellow. The Griffon goes literally so fucking fast that it makes the car at 14:38 SPIN. Note the position the cop car is at - the cop car spins CLOCKWISE, and the rear end was closer to the Griffon than the front end. tl;r - the Griffon is the Supercar of supercars. Capital S, mind you. You cannot win against it... 'Griffon Mk3 VS Bugatti Cojon' does not exist. NOTHING can surpass the Griffon's capabilities. If it wasn't for the police intervening, Gibson could have used the MFS Control Unit (I forgot the abbreviated name... It's 'Mind Feedback' and I think the S may stand for 'System') to do more than just change gears with his mind *only once*, but far more... Maybe he could even let go of the steering wheel and control it with the headset (I know its cables are short and connected to the back of the car). Who knows how fast it could have gone, if the car hadn't gone haywire (I assume it is because of the fall). It could be argued that Gibson did not change gears with the MFS Control Unit because he was too focused on the road, or maybe also because he could not concenrate his mind to change gears at that time, which may explain why he grabbed the clutch while overtaking traffic. Don't get me wrong... Griffon really was a good man, but he could not stop his monster from taking over his life, as well as letting revenge cloud his mind completely... When he used the handbrake, it did not work... We may never know why or how it didn't work. It could be simply argued that Gibson did not see the need to stop (very doubtful), or that the car itself did not want to stop, and alternatively, the car was damaged because of the fall *or* (very very doubtful, not a realistic theory) Gibson may have unintentionally missed a small detail when developing the last Griffon modification. A funny thing to note is that, when Gibson is building the third Griffon, on the parts where the air intakes are supossed to be at (front cockpit part) there are cables coming out of the left intake's innards. However, when Gibson lowers the engine (that puts the 'GIGA' in Isuzu GIGA to shame), there's clearly some extremely complex air filter systems, and no cables to speak of.

Much like "the Simpsons" BGC saw a lot of the future, by just envisioning "easy life" tech. Rear mounted car/bike cameras, motorcycle design. Hell, even the motoslaves had a " follow to home" waypoint/shortcut/ obstacle avoidance, much like todays safety features on RC drones. I always loved Priss's bike, especially the combat derived "Morning star".... a lot ( not all) of that tech is either finally available today, or at least the looks hold up. Still better looking than todays sportbikes. And this was mid 80s .

They're driving at a speed of approximately 279 km/h. Pretty much for a city Speedway. If they were to crash with the tank, they'd be really mashed potatoes though the griffon is pretty armoured. Since it's custom I guess there are no airbags which wouldn't have saved them because they'd be squashed by the rearengine. But since it's anime Logic the Griffon just stops, although Priss could rip the roof. But since it's my favourite anime of all time I forgive every logical error in the whole series
