Nice review, Brian! Used to own a '82 model, but this one looks much better. Is the Gibson SG's infamous "neck dive" still an issue with this model?

I didn't think the Neck-Dive thing was all that bad but... It is an "SG".... you still need to be aware of it because yes, it can get away from you if you're not paying attention... and we all know about those robust and sturdy Gib-O headstocks 🤪

Nice sounds. Couple questions as I’m looking at getting the ‘61 reissue. 1) what’s your opinion about the tuning stability? Other SG reviews dinged Gibson for problematic tuning issues particularly on the SG. And 2) any feedback problems when playing high gain with the Burstbuckers? We can clearly hear the tapping of the pickup and I believe the Butstbucker 61’s are not potted. But they sound great in the video using the Plexi. Thanks

Tuning stability is decent overall however, yes, the nut slots fot the D & G strings will benefit if lubbed well (nut sauce, chap stick, carmex... etc...). Don't know if high gain would cause any isssues... they handle a hopped up plexi well but something like a dual rectifier. set on facemelt.. not sure... YMMV 🎸☕
