Localisation Market in Russia is on the rise as well, but I think that we are still figuring it out. Whenever I play games I try to compare what a character says with translation given with in subtitles and there is definitely room for improvement. I'll do my best to to try and improve the situation, thx for the info!

I'm seriously thinking about going into this industry just because 90% of the comments under every (Russian) major game announcement are angry Russians asking if the game is going to be available in Russian. The demand is enormous.

The best thing to start is to contact with indie teams. Smaller developers are much more open for fan translations than big companies, who (as it can be heard in the video) usually source out localization works to other companies. It is a good way to get experience, learn stuff about this branch, and make some relevance. If you have the neccessray education for working as a full time translator, this will higher your chance to work on videogame translations as a carrer. Or you can just hunt for third party tools, fighting your way over different kind of coding and stuff to access the language files, translate them and then importing back into the game for debugging. This is kinda in a grey zone, but since most AAA publisher doesn't care about smaller populated countries, we are forced to use tricks like this. :\
