I don't understand why nobody talks about the fact that (Israel in reality is an extension of America. Israel is not a country. Israel is a private state. The planification of occupation and confiscation of this land was done by eastern European's Rothchild investors and bankers in 1850s by the help of British. They all deserve recognition and praise, not diminishing as any less impressive than any other. I agree Max Blumenthal has an encyclopaedic knowledge, by the way. Pushed (quite literally) into a corner by Israel and with Netanyahu quite openly displaying his plans to erase the future of the Palestinian People during his speech to the UN in September 2023, they took a desperate gamble to capture the World's attention. Even the communities attacked had been violently stolen in the 1950s and early 1960s from Palestinian villagers and farmers who were then forced to flee to the packed last refuge of huge numbers of similarly attacked and dispossessed Palestinians from all over Palestine over many decades, the Gaza Strip and even there had experienced invasion, oppression, massacres, thousands being sent to desert internment camps (including teenage boys just for being unemployed), and many other crimes against humanity, before the mockery of the supposed Disengagement. This was supposedly, and very belatedly, in accordance with international agreements which followed the '67 war. However, it was merely an excuse to get Israeli citizens safely out of the Strip and absolve Israel of its responsibilities, as an occupying State, to care for the people living there. In fact, it remained defacto occupied, with Israel retaining control of its airspace and territorial waters, the right to incursion for "policing purposes", the registering of all its population, including Israeli Authorities registering Palestinian babies as Gazans instead, effectively rendering them stateless even in the event of a Palestinian State being acknowledged. Israel reneged on the agreement to allow free and safe passage from Gaza to the West Bank (a vital export market as well as home to many of the residents' close family members. They also destroyed the valuable agricultural export economy by closure of crossings into Israel and putting pressure on Egypt to keep their crossing closed for all but short bursts,leaving produce rotting in trucks. The people of Gaza were deliberately impoverished, with a high percentage of children reported as malnourished or even wasted by major international charities. This was all before the 17 year siege and blockade which caused the thousands of deaths each year by the brutal use of Israel's control over all the essentials to life, including food, clean water, electricity supply, oil, medicines, medical supplies and even access to scheduled medical appointments (denial of travel permits to which caused 2,000 deaths in 2022 alone). The war-crimes committed against some innocent people on October 7 cannot be justified but they can be understood (apart from those knowingly killed by Israeli forces firing helicopter missiles and tank shells indiscriminately into festival crowds and family homes). What cannot be understood is the generations of war engaged in by The Zionist State of Israel against the rightful population who owned the land they were unjustly given and the further 40% they have stolen ruthlessly since.

With IDF snipers having spent 15 months targeting toddlers and mothers carrying babies, even having turned away entire truckloads of aid for including a few birthing kits and bombing an aid warehouse containing only baby milk and nappies, normal human feeling cannot be expected to guide policy. People in Gaza died of the cold long before Oct 7 due to Israel's 17 year siege and blockade which limited electricity to one or two hours per day, if any, and restricted oil for generators and to operate the severely bomb-damaged power station and its repeated bombing of civilian housing blocks which left many in makeshift shelters, for example with carpets strung on lines for walls. A government who deliberately, before 2023, kept the Gaza Strip short of 60% of the medicines needed for the population and caused 2,000 deaths in Gaza in 2022 alone (including 600 children) by denying permission to travel to scheduled medical appointments. Then of course, there were the 30 babies in incubators slowly suffocating when their hospital was deprived of oil until several had died and the six babies left alone when the IDF arrested the medical staff caring for them after threatening them with snipers for refusing to evacuate and leave the babies behind. They left at gunpoint only after being reassured IDF medics were standing by to evacuate the babies to hospitals in Israel, only to return after their release to find the babies abandoned and all dead.

But there’s no comparison between what happened on that day with hand held weapons, and what’s happened since, with nonstop bombardment from the air, sending missiles into tents, etc. You do know that disproportionality of response, collective punishment, targeting of civilians, wholesale destruction of infrastructure, including water sanitation plants, hospitals, schools, residential blocks, starvation, withholding of aid, including medicines, etc., etc., etc. are against international law. When you don’t abide by the rules of engagement, codified in international law, it makes you terrorists.
