Yesss, I have been preaching about these Mavericks for a while now as I have both the full sized in 10V and this small one with Ultem scales and 3V steel, they are freaking laser beams with a proper applied edge on them and I personally have beaten the crap out of both with no failures so the toughness is plenty adequate the only thing that even shows they've been used is the black blade coating wear which I use my knives so that doesn't bother me one bit....

Micarta handle back in stock. I picked one up as a new neck knife. 2 oz, 3V, got rid of the crappy lock, paracord, done. Hangs on the wall and I throw it on when I'm doing some light work in the back yard or in the garage.

I bought the 3V PEI handle version in November and I have carried it every day since. It is a little small, but my hands are in the medium to small size. The only issue i had was that sharp edge by the finger choil. If you move your index finger up and down slightly out of that choil, it will cut you. A little file work fixes that. I took that tech lock off and made a leather strap with snaps so that I can carry it cross draw horizontal on my belt. It hasn't left that belt since i bought it. The mini harpoon is smaller than my Esee Izula, which is what the Kizer replaced for daily carry. I haven't had any other issues with mine and I'm happy with spending 60 dollars for it. I think it's a bargain. 👍

You should try ESEE's Sencillo in MagnaCut. Its just a little bigger than the Izula and the handle is a dream. I love the sheath personally. Not perfect but it rides just right. Cant even tell its there. Its nice to have just a LITTLE bit more knife IMO. Plus it has ESEEs awesome warranty and its in MagnaCut. Its pretty tough to rust that stuff, and rust is one of the few things ESEE doesnt cover (unless of course your rusty blade happens to break). I like being honest with ESEE though. I dont want them to ever stop offering it. But yeah, its nice having a nicer knife that has ESEEs warranty, because then im not afraid to use the hell out of it.

I had one and it was an awesome EDC. I had swapped the tech lock for an esee izula belt clip I had laying around. Made for a sick sheath. The value for this one is crazy for what it is! 👍🏼 Thanks for the content Aaron 💯

I just got the version with PEI handle. Super grippy, has a carbon fiber look on the sheathe, but same belt attachment. Love the way it feels in hand and excited to put it through the paces!

Im not a small fixed blade guy , the last 3" fixed blade I ever bought was my Becker Escobar with 1095 Cro-Van steel and that was about 10yrs ago , I got a little Kydex sheath for it last year , I love that little blade , it does everything I need it to do so I really don't need anything else..... 👍 🖖

I kind of like small fixed blades. My ESEE Sencillo in MagnaCut (62-63 HRC) hasnt left my belt since i got it. Comes with a limitless, no questions asked, lifetime warranty too. They dont even care if you have any proof of purchase ot how many times the knife has been traded away. They fix it for free, period. It costs about twice what this one does, BUT unless i lose it, ill never need to buy another one. Its nice being able to actually use a nice knife though! Too often people worry about their nice knives so much that it just sits in a drawer.

I have the Ultem or PEI handle version of the Mini Harpoon. I’m pleased with the knife and the sheath. I put the 3.3 inch clip on the sheath which works great!

Good call. Its tempting me too and i dont even need it lol. i already have a knife that fills the same niche that i like better. Plus i have a strong suspicion ill be getting another very similar knife once christmas rolls around. I dont really need 3 different 3 inch fixed blades...... but..... I still might buy it though 😅

I have the full size in D2 and black micarta. I love it. One thing i have an issue with. In a conventional grip, the back end of the blade is pretty sharp and level with your finger. In a stabbing motion you can get cut....

I bought 3V with the Ultum handle because it looked good with the black blade. I don't carry it when hitting outdoors, it's super thin, I am worried about the tip, and if the handle shatters I'm screwed. BladeHQ had pictures of it with a kydex sheath, but it was sent with a cheap leather one for up and down belt carry. Blade HQ couldn't do anything except offer a refund. I got ahold of kIzer and they sent the Kydex sheath for the cost of shipping. Now it's my around town edc. My outdoors knife I rock the White river FC3.5 pro in magnacut though I wanted the OG s35vn version because it's one of my favorite steels. Getting used to magnacut though

Looks really similar to my MKC triumph. This mini harpoon is a fraction of the cost. If I hadn’t already bought the triumph, mini speedgoat 2.0 and a esee izula 2 in the past few month I’d definitely be picking up one a these and the full size

The Gen 1 version of this knife came with a leather sheath with a design flaw where the press stud lined up with the edge of the blade when pulling the knife from the sheath. Apparently if you contact Kizer they will direct you how to buy the newer Kydex sheath (for a price which is annoying). Hope that helps anyone having to deal with the issue. Not really seeing many custom offerings for sheaths for them yet.

Mine with the topo/‘’gmascus’’ colourful handles is on order. Hopefully will arrive before xmas. I have a vosteed thunderbird in s35vn that as the exact same colour gmascus. It will be my holiday matching set carry! Extra hyped about this specific version of the mini harpoon! Feels like its going to take a serious spot in the edc rotation next to my mkm2. Oh and to the people saying 60$ is a lot of money for subpar knives are absolute morons. I have the bigger version and the other mini in 10v with leather sheath, they sre both without any lips on the handle, fit n finish is impeccable on both, just like my other kizers. 60$ for 3v steel properly heat treated to 62hrc and a ‘’damascus g10’’ handle, is absolute crazy value EVEN IF, you are one of the rare ones that has a slightly below QC standards fitting of the handle scales. Jesus people are insanely belligerent just to make noise and feel important 🤦🏻‍♂️.

I'd love to see your thoughts on the QSP canary fixed blade. Got it on sale just for the heck of it and it's now become my primary fixed blade. The sheath is similar to this kizer, perfect kydex, pretty bad belt clip. But luckily I found a drop loop aftermarket attachment and it's perfect!

I dig the 3v with burlap that you have in the video. Too bad they are all sold out and were Amazon exclusives, which means they probably are not going to make any more of them like that. They have a 3v with PEI handle version and a blacked blade but I'm not very fond of that handle. The others are all in D2 or 10v (also mostly sold out). Oh well, looks like I'll be skipping this one then. :/ I would probably make a leather strap and bolt it on with some spacers to scout carry this one if I did get it.

I thought I was done with buying sub 3" fixed blades, but this might change that. $60 for 3V is a solid deal, and I really like the blade shape. Only showing the PEI/coated blade version on Amazon at the moment, so maybe if this version comes back around Ill have to jump on it.

I have the full size Harpoon and like it, but the back corner of the blade next to your index finger is a little sketchy to me. Already cut myself slightly one time, even being pretty darn careful. I think the mini would be even worse for me.

I have the mini, and that's exactly what happened to me when I moved my index finger up slightly and then back down. It gave me a nice little razor cut nick. I have small to medium-sized hands. Large hands would get cut without moving much. A little file work takes care of that edge. I love that knife. Super sharp, and I barely notice it carrying cross draw horizontal.

@@EvilTwinRC51 I rounded the tip with a dremel tool. the tip is really fine and pretty easy to modify. It resembles the tip of a spyderco endula some what, but more rounded. Its 3V but that tip is too fine for my liking.

I can say that the harpoon in 3v is done pretty dang well but you don't want the one done in 10v I've had three of them and everyone of them had bad heat treats. CPM 10v is my single fav steel and I have a ton of 10v and know how it sharpens and performs the 10v on those harpoons is done terrible edge lasting less than that of 154cm and having crazy gummy burrs that will not refine down and break loose. The 3v is done great tho!

Because the 3v is very spotty if you get a good one then it's a super bargain but the odds of getting a poor performer is pretty high this is somewhat true with the 3v version but especially true with the 10v version.

For the most part avoid the 3v and 10v knives that Kizer did the 10v is Terrible and the 3v is spotty if you get a good one it's a great deal but the odds of getting one with a poor heat treat are really high on the 10v releases and decently high on the 3v. With that said my 3v poon is a solid performer but I've had 3 other 3v models from them and those 3 all had fairly poor heat treats so I just stay away now. If it's not n690 or 154cm from them I don't buy it as I know they have those two ingot steels pretty dialed in.

Funny i bought a JEABROTHER knife $29 14c28n. Amazing knife very slicy. Or my other knife i really love watchman we222 14c28n i believe it was $29 as well. I don't believe anyone needs to spend ridiculous money to get a great knife.
