Hi everyone! That is my Mom in this clip, Vicki Trickett, she played Abby, Gidgets friend. she had a stroke about 6 weeks ago and it doesn't look good, basically on life support. She had an amazing life and I'd just like a small prayer for her to "Be at Peace". After 4 movies in the 60's and several TV shows ( she was Ricky Nelsons girlfriend for a bit) she went on to teach high school for 25 years,Then retired. Thanks to all who read this! Symea

cheddar hi, I loved your Mom in this she was amazing one of my favorite lines was telling her father the bathing suit was dry clean only! Lol the look on her face when Jeff asked her to call him Moondoggie! She is in my prayers cheddar I lost my Mom it doesn't make things easy. God Bless and Keep you both. Margaret

I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I had the extreme fortune of having her for a teacher in 1976. She taught "How The West Was Won". It was the best, most interesting class I have ever attended. I still remember a lot of the things she taught us in that class. She made it so interesting-and I was not easy to keep interested in school. She also used to throw in a few great stories about her movie days. Very special lady.

Thank you, I will read this to her on Mothers Day.She doesn't have much to do, still has a feeding tube, her throat is still paralyzed, it's very sad. It's good to know she made a small difference, that's why she became a teacher in the first place. Thanks again! Symea

I love this movie. We my group of girls on Hung with we're all like Sandra Dee. Sandra was a pure honest little girl and we all were like that I love the movies cuz all of the guys were gorgeous and they were so much better than the guys today thank you gidget movie

Joby..the cute one who needs to learn the "geripp" lives in Southfield, MA and paints. He's 83 and I adore him and we have the same white hair now.

I agree, Ms Trickett was beautiful in the film. She was perfect in the part of the torn female, good friend/jealous friend. I hope at the end, when she was dragged into the ocean, they only had to film it once. She screamed like she meant it :-) My thoughts are with her. I always wondered why I never saw her in other films.

TIL Dirty Dancing took this dance. Baby's dress, her shoes, the dance moves, all from this one dance. Some of these moves are in the midway point dance number in Dirty Dancing. And the moves are repeated in the final number. They even do the lift here, just not all the way. But, most of it is identical. It's undeniable.

An R-rated scene was left in the movie. When Gidget goes out to (I forget) either water ski or surf she falls off and needs to be rescued. When hauling her into the boat one of the rescuers grabs her breast and lifts her into the boat. She didn't complain. At least not on camera. Quite racy for way back when.

The Mambo in Dirty Dancing, was far better.

This WAS the Dirty Dancing mambo. Dirty Dancing took their dance directly from this. This is mainly the number they do when they go to the other hotel/club in the movie. And the dress is exactly Baby's dress in the end of Dirty Dancing. The shoes are the same, too. This is where they got their moves. The lift is even included at the end. Dirty Dancing just did the move bigger because Swayze was an expert dancer and strong
