Great performance as always, Gidion! I'm your biggest fan. Kind of sad to see your following somehow dwindling...just my thought though. I appreciate and resonate with your "technical" style of music a lot but this might not be enough. It's a competition and you've got to be smart about your decisions. Most people are only able to connect with performers on an emotional level even if the performers make mistakes. Just find a way of "touching" people's hearts just like you did with your stand by me rendition...Do a nostalgic song and deliver emotionally...something like that. If you could get this right, I think it would go a long way. Right now, you might need just one performance to get everyone talking about you again. All the best. Rooting for you!

Thanks for this comment....you just said my mind....was rooting for him but at some point I couldn't connect emotionally with his performances any more...they seem rushed..with too much hand movements..but he's soooo good

@@ellaagu8016 yes...exactly. I forgot to mention the "rushing" part too. He'd be taking me on a journey then the song suddenly ends and I'd be like ..."so that's it?" I initially thought their performances are being timed but I've seen some people perform for a longer time.

Gidion is a fantastic singer with great vocal techniques and he knows it, he knows how to give interpretation to songs, but I feel he needs to choose songs that people can relate with, we have gone past the stage of proving you can sing, at this stage of the competition what matters most is connecting with people, this is the reason people are talking about Shy's performance of "Made a way", and Ikande's "Jireh"...they told a story with those songs that resonated with the audience. My opinion: choose a song in your genre that resonates with people and think of a life event you can draw emotions from and you would have us "standing by you" till the end.

Not happy he was evicted from the competition. He's good enough for the finals. He's incontrovertibly a vocal beast and one of the most technically gifted singers but his song choice failed him. Again, the absence of Niyola affected him negatively. With him out, I'd be routing for Pere. Not happy at all.

For me I think Gideon is really dropping his energy. And I dt want him to be confident ... His performance at the blinds and the knockout and the live with Manuel are great.. but he is dropping gradually..... He should not be casual and understand this is a competition.... He should watch out for people like Pere, Shy, Ekonde and others ... Let him get back to work and bring back what we saw to call him a vocal beast...
