5 years in, and have self-produced everything since I Made. (Not sure if Soyeon was in the recording booth since Day 1 though). I can only imagine how many hours they've spent in the recording studio together. A couple hours, each member, for each song. They know eachother so well at this point.

Actually she was pretty famous as a trainee bc of Unpretty rappstar bc she produced a track there and she made maze as a first dong for idle then they were waiting for cube to give them title track but it didnt happen and she got her own studio room and made Latata and they debuted. Since day one she made logo, concept, song and mv idea with clothing style. She made Idle not cube u can hear about it in her vlog form seniorita era.

​@@izzywoods794you can find it splattered around in their i-talks. Especially in their early debut days. Their debut got delayed so Soyeon took matter in her own hands and wrote Latata. The company didn't like the song but the girls do, so they insisted. In the end, she only participated with lyric-writing for I am b-sides, only wrote, composed and produced Latata. But for I made she started to be even more hands-on. Until I trust (their 3rd mini) became the first mini album written solely by a member of the girl group. Like she was the only songwriter in the entire album. The first female idol to do so. Ever. So yes, she's responsible for IDLE's everything. Their concept, their success. She's the brains. The girls will always thank her first in any of their thank you speeches if they win anything. That's how much she's done for the group.

Well, first of all, our fandom is full of biased solos stans... To me, as a person who has been engaged in dancing for many years and teaching professionally dance + a vocals too (honestly, well, my sister is better here than me), it’s always funny how Cube and our fandom (amateur...) appreciate / 'understand' vocals, singing and dancing ... An example I don’t understand / and I protest how Yuqi with her Zero dancing technique, got a dance position... She is absolutely weak in all elements (at least) necessary for a good dancer : isolation (very bad / missing completely), stage presence (average / constantly looking at the floor, not at the audience ... beginner level.), sharpness (average), facial expressions (average, not varied...), energy execution (not bad), precision (average to bad), fluidity (very bad / missing completely), lining (average), musicality (good) ... Ultimately, they don't know anything. But for five years, they have been insulting and bullying Soyeon constantly... We're tired of putting up with it.

It cannot be understated how much of a grasp Soyeon has over the human voice and resonators. I studied how we make sound with our breath and head in school, and I'm floored at Soyeon's producing here. Not only is she directing her members to give different sounds and attitudes for each line, but she's demonstrating her direction by doing it herself AND giving them very clear instruction on where to send the breath to produce the right sound for the moment. I'm... I'm blown away.

I find Soyeon's technical knowledge impressive too. I just watched the recording of SuperLady and she got Yuqi to physically bend over to use her head voice more, then Yuqi replicated it perfectly. I wonder who Soyeon learned from and if it was 1 very good instructor or if she learned from many different sources? I have no doubt she continues to lean but she seems to have a very solid foundational knowledge of singing.

And that one part when yuqi couldn’t reach the high note, but soyeon immediately knew how yuqi needed to shape her mouth to hit it and then she was able to hit it right after. She also seems to know what kind of technique will help which member. Like for shuhua she teaches something completely different than what she does for yuqi. I honestly think soyeon is super underrated as a singer

I really love Soyeon's direction style. She knows what she wants the sound to be and is very effective in communicating it to each member. I'd love to see a production behind the scenes video seeing her develop the entire piece and putting it together. Knowing the meticulous effort that goes into each song just makes me appreciate it so much more, and seeing the artists themselves involved in the creation of each piece from start to finish makes me admire this group so much. Very well done.

Yuqi takes notes so well. She can adapt so well to Soyeon's advice. Minnie's unique tone is so vital. Miyeon's consistency is such an asset to the team. Its nice seeing Shuhua's improvment but its interesting seeing how she struggles with rhythm and timing. She rushes a lot. Especially while recording the "i wanna with you ppoppo m. I wanna with you ppong" part. But her cuteness is the perfect balance for the team. Soyeon reminds me more and more of Zico. Even this song sounds like a zico-produced Block B song

Interestingly enough, there's a recent interview the last couple days that came out, where Soyeon said they were going to do Allergy as the title track and instead went with Queencard, which was written fairly recently. Really cool how quickly professionals can work, and that they're willing to change plans.

@YeonLover Yup. I personally liked Allergy a lot more, but I think they made a good decision here. Allergy ends up being a monster pre-release that directly leads into Queencard. And, Queencard itself is, in many ways, an ideal flagship for the album---fun/catchy earworm chorus, glamorous MV, dance challenges are perfect for Tiktok, should be a great song in live setlists... and the MV has a very positive ending that I think a lot of people encouraged by and will want to share.

It was mind-blowing since I never really heard of the group before that.. and I always thought girl groups left the producing to their company's associate producers.
