JK was a rapper straight out of the gate on debut, at 15 years old - June 13, 2013. He rapped on a lot of their songs in the beginning. All of the members have some skill at rapping. JK is actually part of the rap line as a sub rapper. He can fill in if needed, but his main role is main vocalist. Also, in the future, look forward to JK's rap, because he has said he want's to try to go that route a little bit in his solo work. Probably mixing rap with singing. But yeah, JK is no joke when it comes to rap. Ddaeng is an ARMY favorite rap line song, and it was never released officially. It's on sound cloud and KZbin, but not streaming platforms, or for sale anywhere. I would love to see our rap line do an album together of the songs they have unofficially released and have some new rap line songs, ARMY's would go crazy. They need to make up a name for thier rap line subunit.

I'm sure the reason they even thought to do this is because of Taehyung being the biggest fan boy of their hyung line rappers. If you watched any of their old bangtan bombs or fansigns, you'll see him rapping to ddenaeng, ugh, etc. They even let him rap during rehearsals for their 3rd birthday anniversary party. Tae even dressed in Suga's concert outfit. Lol. There's one stage where the boys told him to announce them doing this song, and he said he was so excited the night before that he couldn't sleep. I'm so happy that they did this. It's totally iconic and one of my favorite stages. I just wished I'd been a fan back then and could have seen it live.

Every time they switched roles, I wanted to see JK in Suga's place, like in Fake Love. But they always give him RM's part, so I don't think they choose, it's based on skill. Jin and Jimin, who have the least rap skills, are given J-Hope's part. V, being a fan of Suga, got his part. Since JungKook is the only rapper in the vocal line, he got the main rapper part, which is RM's. This way, they respected their positions, which may not matter much to the fandom, but in Korea, it's very important

Are you guys familiar with Festa? It's approximately the first two weeks of June and the annual celebration of the anniversary of BTS' debut on June 13th. They give of loads of content, dropping a new video almost daily during that period. The reason that I'm bringing it up is because one year for Festa, the guys had a karaoke booth. They were only allowed to do BTS songs, but they couldn't do any of their own solos. So, rappers did vocal line songs and vocal line did rap songs. I think it was for the 2020 Festa. If you want to hear rap line try to sing vocal line songs, it's in that video.

This was such a fun video of theirs to watch. I loved when Vocal line rapped. Jungkook rapped in the earlier years and will still rap if one of the rap line members are unavailable for illness or hospitalization, like Suga was, Jungkook fills in and takes over that part.
