Yep no curveballs here...my life throws rocks...survive, alive & still laughing....but while the rocks are raining...I'm usually hiding under one hoping not to be buried alive. ❤ I know I'm on the wrong planet because - you're the one that's crazy!- that's my motto. Free to be me....It's not easy and live under rocks sometimes, but it's a good thing because the alternative is finding a place, digging a hole, and laying down...don't be scared or worry, the way I think makes sense to me and nurturing and theraputic, but makes ppl shift their seat over because it goes over their head and don't get what I try to express. Hence they're the crazy ones, SO I must be on the wrong planet. Planet IMA all the way. Hope you smile.🌞⚡☄❤ Ps. Remember when life throws rocks at you .... duck and dance like Carl. My ❤ to all surviving out there.

I was 13 when my dad killed himself. I'm 58 now and the pain never goes away. I take medication for depression and I'm not ashamed. If I had diabetes or high blood pressure I'd take medication. This is a medical condition that requires medication. No shame!

Chris Farley unfortunately overdosed after a night of partying. He was a funny guy who was truly lonely, and was known for partying to excess. He hired a lady friend who thought that when he collapsed that he was just drunk and left him on the floor, he was actually having a massive heart attack from the substances in his system. Poor guy died alone.

My 90 year old mom who lives with depression, struggled for years before she saw a different doctor, who explained it as a chemical balance issue, just like there are other chemical issues that can happen in your body. She then understand she needed her depression meds, just like one needs meds for high blood pressure. She started to realize her mother probably had it too. So if you and Jake both have issues, it may be a hereditary thing. As for your need to make others happy, it's could be your automatic coping mechanism. The brain does wild things to try to protect itself. Talking to others who deal with it and understand it can be a huge help. Mom found a support group that's been so good for her mental health. Anyway, I love your channel and all your babies. Sending hugs to you, Jami, LE and Jake.

We went through a few hard years. my uncle died of cancer, my other uncle took his life, my husbands 18 year old cousin took his life and my mom was very sick, went through hell and back and then we lost her. on my darkest days I woke up to your videos and instead of starting my morning being heartbroken and upset.. Oh guys, I love that you're showing the world the most common presentation of depression!! It breaks my heart that you have to go through it, but it's so important to normalise these things ❤ Please do remember though, depression is one of those things that can either punch us in the privates so that everyone can see, or it sneaks into your soul like a broken hip. A broken arm is really obvious, whereas a broken hip can be unknown for a long time, causing pain, discomfort, mobility problems, frustration, anger, physical incapability... Depression causes that too. There is a lot of research into the impact of depression on physical health (I have studied the physical impacts of depression on physical health for a long time, I'm really interested in the correlation between trauma/adverse childhood experiences and mental health in later life). A lot of the further implications are related to the amount of Cortisol in your blood, or the stress hormone. (I am really sorry if this isn't interesting to anyone, but I've had a few drinks and am a mental health nurse, I absolutely love learning about how mental and physical health interact!! I think that the world needs to know these things). Increased cortisol levels can really impact upon your physical issues, and I'm not surprised that you're now experiencing unusual physical symptoms after so many life-changing experiences! If you have chance, check out the "HeadSpace" app, they have really short and simple meditations to help with many different situations, my favourite is the 10 minute sleep meditation 😊 As a final note, I have strong affection for you all, and please always remember that many of those who follow you also rely on you to give videos, you are reliability, education, relief, familiarity, friendship, humanity, and love to those who have nothing else. Thank you ❤❤❤❤❤

Thank you for your knowledge...I'm waiting to get bloodwork done because I thought about cortisol and sweat way too much. And yes, people have thought I have moved a few times in the building I live in. I've been here 11yrs People don't see me when I am unwell and would never guess my illness when they do..... my neighbour with MS in a wheelchair has more capability than me though I have more ability than her....I don't have to hide and she doesn't have to feel unabled when I'm there and give her a break and help her.

HEY! There’s men on this page to..keep it from the neck up! Robin Williams was a borderline genius which caused him to be tormented. His comedy was his outlet and expression. Unfortunately he didn’t win his battle. I’ve read that very intelligent people and those that live through their souls sometimes get lost in their minds and what they feel in their souls suffer deeper levels of depression when it happens. I miss the real American hero commercials. I miss Texas sometimes. I like turtles.

Chester Bennington, lead singer of Linkin' Park, also killed himself. He took medication, and I believe he had a therapist. He suffered from severe depression, and he was also the victim of sexual abuse from about 6 to 12 or 13. And I love Robin Wiiliams, and I still cannot believe he is gone. So, so sad, and I send love and prayers to them and everyone like them and you and Jake that suffer from depression. I deal with it also, but not to the severe extreme that some do.

Jake, you are so right, the happiest people are the saddest.” I’ve experiencing depression. Robin Williams was suffering with depression. He had just been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, later to be decided as LBD.

That is unfortunate. What an odd way of thinking. Giving should only be done if can afford it and if you want to. It’s not something to be done for a Glory Day.

Those of us who also have depression know exactly what you are talking about. This week has been the hardest for me due to its almost 1 year since my dad had pass but also just my feelings. But we who do have the depression like to make others laugh. You are right on that. Thank you for sharing your depression with us Lester and shirtless jake.
