Be careful with honey, there may be import bans in various countries outside the EU due to various bee diseases. This applies particularly to Australia, for example, but also to various other countries. Likewise, the EU does not accept all food from outside. Therefore, always check with your own customs office in advance to avoid paying a fine and having the gift destroyed.

I'd love to hear feedback on how your family and friends liked the things you picked out. That'd be an interesting video or instagram shorts idea. I've got to say you picked some interesting stuff and I'm curious if they like it. Also a tip when looking for local honey in supermarkets they say on the back if they contain local honey but last time I checked the one you bought contains honey from EU and non EU countries. They have to label that, so it pretty easy to find out if it's actually local or not. That being said, I still love that honey you picked, it's delicious and a great choice because of the different varieties. I'd also recommend flavours they don't have in the us, like black currant and Waldmeister

Hermann Laue (HeLa) is originally a spice importer in a small town at the outskirts of Hamburg. The company mixes exotic spices and herbs and fills them into paper satchels that butchers use when they make their pastries. Mixing curry powder into ketchup was an idea after the invention of the „Currywurst“ and when BBQs became more common. One of the HeLa managers once told me that the giants like Heinz or Thomy would have no problem to wipe them off the market, but as spiced ketchup is such a Germany-only trade good for a very small market they simply ignore that dwarf.

Interesting choices - I know it's difficult because you can't bring anything fresh or too delicate for travel, so you got many things from your daily experience. The ornament suggests that you're pregnant?! Congratulations! Where are the Überraschungseier? Also, why not walk that extra mile and get some really high end chocolates (e.g. Rausch) for them so they learn what sort of abomination Hershey's really is? My experience suggests that US ladies are overwhelmed of the quality of the makeup products you can get at dm - at very affordable prices, so why not have a look there, too? Oh, and: "Zúckerrübensìrup" has the main stress on the first syllable and the secondary stress on the penultimate syllable.

Many of your product choices are low quality. Take the vanilla suger for exsmple. This sugar contains exactly 0% real vanilla. It is 100% artificial. But we have vanilla sugar with real vanilla. Have a look in the organic products section at a supermarket or go to a dedicsted organic supermarket. Of course you will see that the real vanilla sugar is more costly as vanilla is an expensive spice. Are you still in germany? If yes, it would be a pleasure for me to go shopping with you and show you the better alternatives for your products that don‘t use artificial ingredients.

Some pretty sad choice in this video... many artificial things with harmful or super unnatural ingredients in the first part. There a are so much better things in the world, like vanilla sugar from the same brand with real vanilla in the sugar instead of artifical vanilla aroma. And calling Maggi a "seasoning" is an understatement... its more like a chemical mix for people that cant cook and need aroma booster with msg.
