If we had servants of GOD like Lester Sumrall who were full of GODly character and integrity in his day presently how we'd be moving in The HOLYSPIRIT. No jealousy, no competition, no comparison because we would be well taught of the spiritual character of the kingdom of GOD. JESUS said of the seed that fell on good ground that it would yield some, 30, 60, 100. As the HOLYSPIRIT gives of His Own free will. Yes, having knowledge about the gifts and workings of The HOLYSPIRIT would help us to detect the false prophets and to call them out and rebuke them as such. Thanks Lester Sumrall for leaving us a legacy that is helping us to walk and follow after The HOLYSPIRIT Alone and not the arm of flesh. Amen in JESUS CHRIST!

We tend to teach out of what our experiences with God has been, and this people will do. Not everyone has had the same experiences with God. Where I came from, everyone who spoke in tongues, eventually came around to interpreting for the group. That's just how they did it. They held classes to teach people about walking in the next manifestation which was interpretation of tongues, and this they did quite successfully. I know it can be done again today in other churches. However, naturally there will be some who function much better in one manifestation than some of the other people. There always seem to be a few people who really excel above the rest, and that's OK. We need some excellent excellers once in a while I think. But everyone by faith learned to do it. We all learned to give some edification by exhortation and comfort by the gift of prophecy also, which functions in basically the same way as interpretation of tongues, the exception being that when one propheseys, one isn't giving the interpretation of what was said first in a tongue, but when one interprets he is doing that.

Dr Sumrall, explains in this video why the believers are not on fire moving in the gifts.. Holy Spirit is looking for “an intensity of the heart & desire.” We westerners he explains are too interested in the TV.. well now it’s our iPhone, Tablet or computer.. too busy multitasking. So sad 😢

I believe that with what is happening in the world now the church is going to wake up and move into the spiritual realm and move with God in the gifts of the Spirit.

Well that was kinda depressing. I was feeling guilty for admitting that I don't feel like the churches are spirit filled. In about the middle of this lesson (part 11) he flat out says it. That he doesn't think that the church today even has the spirituality to enact the gifts the way that it should be. That people are too carnal and do not seek for the gifts. (and that was 1984 or so? did he have any idea what the church buildings would be full of in 2015?) Going to a dead church (in my opinion) is worse than not going to a church building. All the people there like to say that they are saved and blessed but wasn't that the church of Sardis in the revelation? By the way / thanks for responding on the previous post Jimmy. Seeking for the face of our Father is a funny game to play ain't it?

Troy F your welcome Troy. Yes, the churches today are pretty much in a dead state. If only Lester knew how bad things would be in 2015! Finding a good church is very rare and can be a frustrating venture. Keep seeking the Father in Jesus' name

If GOD'S people would fast and pray and seek our Father's Face we would see things happen. If you call a supper or something like that, people show up. call for a prayer meeting and hardly anyone shows up. I know of a Full Gospel Church that had a super bowl party at church one Sunday night. They skipped the Praise and Worship and Sermon Service. How do you like that. That is a slap in our Father's Face, I think. God's people have a spirit of slumber and they;re selfish and lazy. You can't hardly tell the church from the world anymore cause there's too much of the world in the church and too much sin. We really need to get back to fasting and praying and don't stop.
