Wonderful! Note the astronomical twilight is very late this time of year. I’m at 44 degrees north latitude and we have less than 3 hours of actual “night” tonight! Star clusters will be pretty easy, but galaxies will be challenging. Good luck on your quest!!!

Enjoyed your Top Ten video. I will be purchasing Celestron 93230, 8 to 24 Zoom eye piece as recommended. I have a small Celestron 76mm by 300mm reflector telescope(1st scope). I will be upgrading to a intermediate scope later this year and buying some good accessories to use with the new scope. Would buying a 3x Barlow to increase my focal length to 900mm be useable? I would use the Celestron 24/8 zoom eye piece with the Barlow. Thanks, Don.

Your telescope is probably too small for a barlow. It will most likely make objects look blurry. Recommend a Celestron C8 or an eight inch Dobsonian as a next scope, then you can experiment with a barlow.

@@LearnToStargaze Thank you for the reply. That’s good advice. I’ll get the zoom and use it with the next scope. Had passed up a few used Celestrons, SE4 and SE6. I think either an 8 Dob or 6 Newtonian telescope is next. Great channel and just started watching your latest videos. EQ6-R Pro. Thanks again. 👍🏻

What are barrel eyepieces for?

2x Barlow eyepieces double the magnification (the resolution stays the same though, and objects become more challenging to find).
