We will be investing $3.6 B more to continue growing Gigafactory Nevada. Includes 3,000 new team members and 2 new factories: a 100 GWh 4680 cell factory and our first high-volume Semi factory.

The First Design was enormous. When this is completed it will have half the foot print of the original design but it sounds like the same output due to manufacturing improvements. Way cool.

But when it hit $100 ☺️, I was able to add more shares more quickly (I don't make a ton of money, so when it was $400/sh, it was slow going). Some of the recent shares were $150/ea., a few were $120, others down around $100... I've already "made money".

Earlier in life I would invest money that I needed, and it was so freaking stressful. Checking the price all the time. Sweating the small movements. Now I just invest what I don't need for 20+ years, I still believe they're ahead of the competition, and so I'm sitting on it. If my confidence wavers significantly, then I'd reassess my position. But so far, confidence is only increasing. Take care and I'm sure you will find more prosperous times ahead. It's a cycle.

y'all are not getting it. the amount of car we have in the world right now and in the future are not sustainable. ever wondered why the US is full of bad quality roads? it's because taxation can't keep up with the amount of wear and tear that gets done to roads, and teslas will make it even worse cause they're heavier and make america even more car addicted. the solution is right there, it's called the Netherlands, they mix all kinds of transit and give the most unsustainable mode of transit the least amount of priority and most inconvenience to make other modes of transit more attractive and doing this makes the country a lot more sustainable while saving a lot of tax money and also able to put all of that tax into road infrastructure like bus lanes, bike lanes (actual save ones), the best quality of roads in the whole world. there's a youtube channel called: not just bikes, and he helps people further understand what is wrong with Americas infrastructure and the mindset to always need a car to get anywhere.
