I really enjoyed the Floppy Frog! I ran it for a couple weeks and enjoyed how the games changed with the frog's evolutions, but I do wish that when your frog is all grown up that you could play all the games, I eventually got sick of the 2 adult stage games. The graphics are also really fun and surprisingly detailed, I enjoyed watching them! Also I like how your colour of your nails perfectly matched the purple graphics on each side of the screen lol

Hi kazzerism! You are right my nails are the same purple as the frog drawings on the side! I just picked a color I thought was cool, that's so funny it turned out like that. I get what you are saying about the games. I am not up to the adult stage yet so I haven't gotten bored. Did you get the secret final evolution? I haven't seen it yet and I'm trying to figure out how to get it!

@@JillGrygas Yes I think I got the final secret evolution, my frog turned into something else (no spoilers!) and it had me play a different game that isn't in the instruction booklet but I didn't know how to do it, so I failed and my frog turned back to normal lol. I don't know how I got it!

I recently got a Giga Pet Pixie and really loving it! Not only is the gameplay so fun from raising your pixie, doing magic, creating potions and seeing it grow into many magical pixies. The overall cute, glittery with wings look really sold me on it! 🥰 I think I'll definitely be getting this froggy Giga Pet for my sister, she loves frogs and the gameplay I feel will be easy for them to enjoy without feeling too stressed out about it! Hi Bailey! One of my good friends has the original Floppy Frog from the 90s and I really liked it. When this update was announced I jumped to preorder it. I'll have to do a comparison at some point between the old and new giga pets!

Yes! Fun fact: Giga Pets actually came out in the 90's at the same time as Tamagotchi. Giga pets have a few more games and features compared to the original tamagotchi.

It took them a few rounds to get the Giga Pet remakes right, but these ones that state "collector's edition" are really awesome. From one tama owner to another, I think you will really enjoy the giga pet. It's fun actually raising critters from the real world!

I’m reading that if you don’t quickly then it should save your progress, but it’s not one where you can leave the battery out for a while and start back where you were. It doesn’t have an internal memory.

I LOVED/LOVE the original FF -- it was among my favorites; I must have this. Had the hardest time with the original kitty and tyrannosaurus rex -- longest I kept the latter alive was 4-6 days and the kitty probably less than that and it usually had a sad face. Never have figured out what I did wrong. Also, please tell me there is a pause feature.

No pause feature, but you can leave it alone for a couple of hours without any issues. I left mine alone for over a day before it passed away.

When it’s a tadpole you don’t discipline you have to keep the heater on long enough to keep it in the right temperature range. Once it’s a frog you can train instead of discipline

Giga Pets are insane, the amount of animations really shows how Bandai is only the most famous v-pets, not the best ones at all, it's insane how Sumikko does a better job at everything in color and Giga Pets in B&W.

@@JillGrygas The pixie is very funny and you also have several evolutions that depend on the potions you give the character. and I love the Starcat because it has animations of all the Gigapets characters, as well as being able to choose the option to play with the classic compukitty (for me it is very difficult to take care of but in the end you can see how the kitten grows)🥰🥰🥰

for some reason when i leave mine on the temp screen and changed it it jumped from 50 to75 in a matter of a few min.

Yup! Every minute it will go up 5 degrees. I just leave the lamp on for a minute or two and then turn it off once it's around 70.

I know this is a year old now but I just got one for Christmas and I was wondering if there was a pause to this one. I saw a few others said to press left and right at the same time but that doesn't seem to work for this. Does anyone know if this does pause? or am I suppose to keep it running on like sleep or something

This one doesn't have a pause feature. I think you can make it nap a few times during the day but it will wake up at some point and want attention.

That’s a tough one! I love the puppy, it was my first giga pet and I ran it for months until the battery died. The frog also has great gameplay, but if you haven’t played any giga pet and you like dogs I would say get the Puppy, but you won’t be disappointed either way ☺️

Is it still a tadpole? If not it’s the discipline and you have to train it.

How do you change the temperature? Like how do you know if the lamp is on or off

In the discipline/temperature icon you can turn the light and and off my selecting enter if I’m remembering correctly. Go in and turn the light on and don’t leave until it’s the right temp and then you can turn it off. When its on it looks like a lamp shining over the tadpole tank.

Hi! I'm sorry I haven't replied. I'm having trouble remembering what I did in the tadpole phase, but you can raise the discipline score by training it. Also, the mode button doesn't get you out of the temperature screen?

@@JillGrygas Funny enough, after training it, it would go lower. Started high around 80, and would drop by 5 very gradually. Doesn't matter too much right now anyways...bad connection with the battery and can't get it to stay on.

I find on the Giga Pets that training works better than discipline. The icon looks like a little bell at the bottom of the screen. Go to that and teach it tricks. If it does the trick correctly you give it a treat, and the "discipline" icon points will go up!

@@JillGrygas Oh, I know you are busy!! No worries. As for collecting, there are too many for sure. I am not sure why, price maybe? But I started collecting the 20th anniversary Digi's because I love all the colors which is not usually my style. Now I am into all the colors so when one is under 9 bucks I grab it. So far my whole collection cost less than one Tama Meets and I am up to almost 20 of them. And I also collect the Giga Pets but I don't collect any specific others. I just adore the Giga Pets and want every single one and in every single color since each color is a different generation. I found yrs ago that I dont have a collecters brain. I am autistic and I get so mad at people creating things just so people will buy more of them. It actually pisses me off, um, says the person with plus 5 Tama smarts 🥴 I don't collect them due to the colors though, it is because the different programming. With all that said. You sound like you have a very solid trust worthy brain so you could just watch my instagram feed until you see one you may like and go from there. Don't forget, there is nothing to keep up with. Only buy the one you want to play in the moment. Another problem I have that is not collector related is, Once I turn on a pet and only the ones I adore thankfully, i try to buy a back up if it is affordable.
