It's interesting that Geran is said to be a mutated insect since the design of the other Geran is also an insect. Perhaps the Taro episode was based on the other Geran's cancelled episode. Since they didn't reuse Toho suits anymore would make sense they'd need to redesign Geran

Besides Geran, I had mentioned Alien Piccolo, the puppet kaiju before, the kaiju who eats veggies, and the drunken kaiju who dances when he hears music and all of them are from Ultraman Taro. I cannot say than I had seen Ultraman Taro but the kaijus are amazing!!!

Gelan (a.k.a Geran) is very forgotten Kaiju from Ultraman Taro series so long time. I so enjoy the Kaiju head like Gelan that resemble to Toho's Kaiju, Gigan. Taro, Taro! - Haruka and Shinichi from Donbrothers cheering on Taro 1:34, whoa. 3:00, yup he crazy. 3:38, I can def say this might have been the original idea of that monster from Ultraman. This monster does act a bit insect-like. 5:28, then again Kotaro was the same man who survived a fall from Astromons in the very first episode of this show. Kinda goes to show why he was chosen to be Ultraman Taro. That or he's pretty crazy. Srsly, everyone in this show is either crazy or extremely brave. 6:10, I'm inclined to believe Geran was gonna be that bee monster because of how this kid KEEPS on agitating it, it's like beating on a hive full of bees. There's my theory on this and no one's gonna tell me otherwise. 6:18, forget this! I'm gonna do us all a favor and kill kendo kid here!! - Geran 6:57, Taro did have a broken arm before...in the first batch of episodes so the early fights prepped him for this. 7:02, they fought for hours and hours. It reminds me of Agul vs Gaia in ep 25 where it cuts to them time after time, blow after blow. 7:43 the truth. 10:59, and they all lived happily...uhhh...confusingly ever after. Hehe.
