This event is actually terrible. Being forced to catch another set of separate gmax pokemon on top of needing a minimum of 10 people, this event is all but DOA. Rural areas are cooked and this whole thing just shows how out of touch Niantic is with their player base. In the mainline games you could use max soup to max your pokemon, they should have implemented something like that instead of whatever this is.

It’s almost like this is the one and only game from a massive franchise, that isn’t meant to be played at home in your mom’s basement all alone. 1 star raids, 3 star raids, 1 star dynamax, 3 star dynamax, routes, go battle league, rocket battles, buddy interactions. Have 1-2 other people / accounts? You can do 99% of mega raids and 5 star raids. “Rural” players can cry me a river dude, not everything needs to be a participation trophy 😢

It'll likely be the raid gives you the evolved mon that is the G-max mon. Because normal mons can't G-max or ever been able to. You've always had to find them in the raid dens on SwSh that were the highest rarity and locked to some events. So you will need to do the G-max raids to get G-max mons

I thought when these come out they would went the Max soup rout where you do gigantamax or dynamax raid you have a chance to get a max mushroom and if you collect 3 of them they would combine and make a max soup and you can give it to a pokemon who can gigantmax just like in the main game but guess not. That would be better because some players got good IV and maybe some shinys from the dynamax raids now they got to shiny hunt for the same pokemon in the gigantmax raid all over again that crazy.

Wow. Just when I got Dynamax Charmeleon, Ivysaur, and Wartortle we're switching to even stronger Mons that I can't catch. I started playing 120 days ago, I am in suburban St. Louis while in a halfway house. I got one Mon that's at level 40 with the next highest in the mid 20s. smh unreal.

It looks cool but very unpractical, you can do most 5* raids with like 3 people now, with some being able to be soloed or duod with invites. This is just in person and will require a large community which aren't too common unless in cities. I already have to have friends from neighboring towns come over to do some raids such as mega rayquaza which isn't practical. I hope Niantic at least allows us to get gigantimax mons without needing to raid them.
