Mega Gengar, as a ghost type, will wish its victims a long-painful-miserable death, so sent Mega Arydactol (Idk how to spell it lol) to where it would be torn apart by ultra beasts, and sent these 3 to where they would surely be killed by gigantamax pokemon.... or so Mega gangar thinks...

This comment was made before the part where they watch the explanation but here’s what the post-credits is about. Also spoilers for anybody who hasn’t watched the Mega Battle Royale In the Mega Battle Royale Gengar has free access to other dimensions, thus throwing the mega’s into other dimensions and universes such as the Mario one. If you watch it’s post-credits scene it shows G-Max Lapras and Charizard as a heads up to this one. Mega Banette and Mawile and Kangaskhan’s baby go inside Gengar’s mouth so they can get back to where they came from. This doesn’t lead them back however, and leads them into…that place. I’m guessing it’s because one, G-Max Gengar’s mouth goes straight to hell, and two, because (spoiler) Rayquaza won and destroyed the piece of land they were on. Also last thing, the reason why Tyranitar, Golem, and Dragonite was shown in the G-Max BR was because they deserve G-Max forms, but they didn’t have any. Which is why they are killed.
