Gigantic private Märklin model train layout - Regensburg's miniature wonderland (English subtitles)

We visit a private model railroad layout that the local daily newspaper has quite rightly dubbed Regensburg's miniature wonderland.
In an attic, there is a layout measuring over 100 square meters with several stations, depots and vast landscapes whose origins date back to the 1960s.
If I haven't miscounted, eight independent lines allow for more than a lively train service and around 150 sets of rolling stock are waiting for their turn on the countless sidings.
But let's hear from the owner of this model railroaders dream!

Hallo Jörg, gigantisch kein Thema. Für mein Geschmack zu wuchtig und der Versuch alle Themen auf eine Fläche abzudecken. Aber Hauptsache es macht Spaß.🎉

Für mich ist es beeindruckend, was Rudi hier alleine in relativ kurzer Zeit auf die Beine gestellt hat. Er sagt ja selber, dass es ihm in erster Linie um „viel Betrieb machen“ geht. Und.das hat er 100% erreicht. Nietenzähler und Pufferküsser, wie ich 😉, bauen puristischer, brauchen dafür aber auch gerne x-Mal so lang. Das ist ja das Schöne am Hobby, das jeder es so gestalten kann wie es ihm gefällt🙋🏼VG Jörg
