I spent several years flying in a 500D... I think that this electric does sound quite scale. I hear the "mosquito" whine of the motor and more of the rotor blades just like the full scale. Most model turbines are louder proportionally compared to full scale. This is really a beautiful 500 C... and nicely flown.

James California it's much bigger than 6th scale. It's closer to 1/3 if the proportions are correct. The full size helicopter had a disc span of 8.03m and this is 2.65m. My Trex 700 with a jet ranger body is roughly 1/6 scale.

Nice looking helo myself I would have gone with the 1st 9th airborne paint scheme after the movie Apocalypse now and after reading a book on the 9 the cav oh 6 pilot how crazy those dudes we're over in nam. But that was a sweet looking 500 nice flying too

Nevermind, I see that it's helical main gear. Man, if this thing was totally belt driven, it would sound even more realistic. I want to hear just the blades and nothing else, like the full scale.
