For those who don’t know, $500 in 1945 is worth roughly $7,400 in today’s money. That should give you an idea on how much money Giggling Granny was earning for every husband/child she killed.

Yeah, and it's also interesting how head trauma is not consistent. I remember hitting my head a lot on poles and floors as a child. It hurt really bad, but all I got in return was a bump. Maybe it did something, I'm not sure. If it did, it wasn't anything major. So, how is it some people get brain injuries so much easier than others? Do others have thicker skulls? Do serial killers with head trauma have not so thick skulls?

@DoKuShOsTaR
@DoKuShOsTaR 3 жыл бұрын
@@ericaploof998 Really, it’s more likely to be the strength of the force you were hit with, the speed, and the location on your head. On top of that, it needs to cause trauma within the brain itself. So, an internal bleed, a tear, something akin to that. And even with brain trauma, that usually isn’t enough to cause a budding serial killer. It’s going to also require that strict or horrific upbringing. Either severely neglectful, or crazed, or physically/sexually abusive, etc. I also got hit on the head as a kid, hard enough to need stitches. But my upbringing brought me to be overly empathetic (emotionally hyper vigilant), and there was no actual brain damage. That’s the difference.

The head injury? No, I'd say it was the abuse and all the social repression done by her father. The human psyche is a fragile thing which can turn south really fast. While most people will just be in the standard range of messed up, you get outliers where they turn into serial killers like that lady, Ed Gein, or Robert Picktons(Pig Farmer Killer). The big take away is don't abuse kids, that's like the most common ingredient for psychopathy it seems.

Maoa Gene? Or is that not as common in women?
@DoKuShOsTaR
@DoKuShOsTaR 3 жыл бұрын
@@avis913 Psychopathy is a combo of genetics and upbringing, especially the levels. Having the MAOA gene won’t just make you a psychopath, or even if it did, with the proper upbringing it can alter how individuals react and respond to something. At most, MAOA might increase baseline aggression, but it wouldn’t make someone be immune to emotions killing someone gives, nor even raise the chance that much without other features.

@@margarethmichelina5146 false, the only reason she was invested in romance novels was because of the abuse & her being not able to experience. people like you, if ran into a serial killer, will fall, subject to them because i wouldn’t say you’re dumb….but not good at putting pieces of implications together. On a spectrum of perceptiveness you guys in these comments are considerably low…
