I’m 32 and when I was younger around 9 or so. One my cousin was playing this song on a pocket radio and since then I got that melody stuck in my head. Years later I could only remember one part of the lyrics and never found this song. Until one day that I was browsing on and I saw it. When I played it, all my childhood memorys invaded my head. The thing is that this song is amazing and still love it since the first day

I got two strong arms Blessings of Babylon Time to carry on And try for sins and false alarms So, to America, the brave Wise men save Near a tree by a river, there's a hole in the ground Where an old man of Aran goes around and around And his mind is a beacon in the veil of the night For a strange kind of fashion there's a wrong and a right But he'll never, never fight over you I got time to kill Sly looks in corridors Without a plan of yours A blackbird sings on bluebird hill Thanks to the calling of the wild Wise mens' child I got plans for us Nights in the scullery And day instead of me I only know what to discuss Oh for anything, but light Wise men fighting over you It's not me you see Pieces of valentine And just a song of mine To keep from burning history Seasons of gasoline and gold Wise men fold Near a tree by a river, there's a hole in the ground Where an old man of Aran, goes around and around And his mind is a beacon, in the veil of the night For a strange kind of fashion, there's a wrong and a right But he'll never, never fight over you I got time to kill Sly looks in corridors Without a plan of yours A blackbird sings on bluebird hill Thanks to the calling of the wild Wise mens' child

I used to listen to this song a long time ago during the better times in my life when i lived with my mom. Id imagine so many adventures with this song on, and id pretend to sing and dance to it. Then, she left me to live with my grandma. Its been 7 years since then, and now, a day before im getting my first job, i find this song once again. It reawakening all those memories and to the beat do i still imagine those little soldiers marching in my head, those fights id have with dragons, the so many childish things id do those so many years ago. Now all flooding to me as I march onward to adulthood. And to think I found this song by accident, it finds me on accident while I randomly pick through disco and rave music. Theres so many words to express, but they wouldn't come close to displaying the emotion this song gives me. I hope your all blessed, Cheers from 2024

"The Riddle" is a song by the English singer-songwriter Nik Kershaw, released in 1984 as the lead single from his second studio album of the same name. Kershaw described the lyrical content as being nondescript to fill as a "guide vocal" for the production. It reached number three on the UK Singles Chart and peaked within the top 10 in countries like Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Australia and New Zealand. An accompanying music video was made for the song and features references to Lewis Carroll's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1865). source wikipedia gigi d'agostino didnt made the riddle, hes version came out in 1999 only 20 years later

ok the song is cool but i'm mortally perplexed by the music video, can someone explain what the music video symbolises (i love gigi d'agostino)
@PhoenixAura8110 ай бұрын
The video is inspired by La Linea, a cartoon by Osvaldo Cavandoli. I don't know what the video symbolizes though. The song itself had deliberately nonsensical lyrics (much like an actual riddle), so maybe the video plays into that? I don't know.
