WHERE IS NEPHI FROM?
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City in the Philippines but I have been moving and living in different countries due to the nature of my work. I’ve lived in countries like Singapore, Japan and the US due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel but I am currently in Indonesia thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
MUSICAL BACKGROUND
Former band vocalist of Akita performing at K-Pub in Ayala Cebu, Philippines (2019-2020)
Former band vocalist of Big Three Band performing in Yokohama 7, Yokohama, Japan (2014-2016).
Former member of the Filipino Voice Symphony (2010-2011) where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our singing group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
Former university choir and singing trainer at Technological University of the Philippines Visayas.
WHAT IS THE GREATER GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.

My favourite Filipino version of this sing was by Morissette and Regine. But Gigi here just gave this song another touch. I really like it how she made this song good by not making it like sound like it's oversang with runs, and melismas. Plus, it is ONE TAKE and it is LIVE. Kudos to Gigi Vibes and the Band. ❤️❤️

Thanks for reacting to this performance… they dedicated this song to 2 of their friends who passed away that week of their livestream (one of those who passed away was a great musician and mentor, a band leader of another group), the way she sang this was really tender and sincere. ❤️ very heartfelt and clean, it’s Gigi’s own take on this Mariah classic with so much feelings there. ❤️❤️❤️

You should also react Elaine Duran's version of Butterfly. As far as I see, Elaine's version is the best of Butterfly that ever sung. As a filipino you must've known Elaine better than me

Gigi blows them all away. This is the best cover of Butterfly. Gigi sounds very much like Mariah. From the airy breathy parts to all those riffs and runs in the highest notes Gigi delivers to perfection like no other. Incredible.
