What I like is to watch a professional makeup artist applying makeup on someone rather than "youtube makeup gurus" who just make up their own faces every time. So glad I found your channel.

you could tell the difference between a real professional makeup artist and Instagram makeup gurus by the way their hands work with the brush, the makeup, the everything. maybe it's just me, but I really notice that the real ones could do so much with so little products. like they don't need to pack 57 colors on your lid to make a smokey eye. they could do it with two colors and it would make you look like the real natural you but slightly enhanced. not like the really drag looking makeup we see on Instagram.

"IG" makeup gurus are still professionals, as are KZbin makeup artists, SFX MUA's etc.... There are so many different kinds of looks and artists with various preferences and techniques. None (as far as professionals) any less talented than another. Also drag makeup takes a LOT of talent, knowledge, creativity and professionalism. Makeup artistry is unique to each artist just as any other kind of art.

I am weary of seeing numerous make up artists using the same products - it's like they all jump on the same band wagon - nothing original. Yes, some of the products they use are good, but there are hundreds of options that are overlooked because it's not the "thing" everyone is using. I love the fact that you use a variety of high end and drug store brands to achieve the overall look. I also love the fact that you didn't overdo the brows or use tons of foundation and bronzer, 5-6 eye shadows and false lashes. I love highlighting but good grief, some of these KZbinrs have turned themselves into walking disco balls! I realize that there are special occasions that require a more dramatic look and more product, but for everyday, this is lovely. I'm subscribing! Thank you!

this trend of having a really dewy, shiney, glowy skin is beautiful and works great with girls with smooth skin but it does not work for already oily and shiny problematic skin and large pores at all :(((

Just use regular foundation and less powder try loreal Infallible Dewey finish

Try to use first base for pore from Benefit, to have a matte looking finish, top up with a layer of solid foundatiob like Dermablend, then followed by liquid foundation to cover imperfection

Thank you for making videos like this! I wish someone like you would have been around when I was learning to do my makeup... I have redness in my skin from rosacea and I always used to pile on thick foundation to try and cover it. It is so nice to learn how to cover problem areas while leaving the rest of the skin fresh looking. It feels so contrary to the matte, full coverage skin that seemed so popular in the 90's when I started doing my makeup. I just loved this Monika! Your videos are always so well put together, and you seem to have a very thoughtful approach.

Which country do you come from?? If we came from the same country, I can recommend some local products. But I think Loreal, Elf, Milani, Juvia's place, and Maybelline did a good job though. You probably can find them.
