I love the mask under a mask shtick. It reminds me of the su glasses gag from the movie Airplane! Haha I really like this guy. He's one of those characters I have no nostalgia to, I never got to read the comics or anything, so I never saw where he came from. But unlike Helix, this guy is winning me over on just looking awesome

Great review! Always glad for a chill review and sharing your experience with us. I heard somebody mention that blow dart or silencer or flashlight thing was a stabilizer or compensator to help keep the bow balanced during archery and hunting. I put mine in that bottom loop for storage. Have a great day!

When the first one came out in the 4 inch line folks really compared him to the Predator from the Fox films. With the right lineup of Joes and this guy you can really copy that.

I think in the case of Shadow Tracker he falls into that spot where his drawbacks are counter balanced by his cool factor. He's got some limitations, but the design and concept of the character is strong enough that he still makes for a great figure.

Hey hey...great job. Screw the spectrum comments and the vala haters...all these brands reuse parts... The ears are gauged "gaged" to have that insert in the lobe. I'm glad you're more aggressive in finding how far a figure actually crunches.... I'll need to do that for the next release. Have a great time with your new figure

I’m level headed 😅 Awesome review as always. As a “not of color” person, I have to say that it’s always a selling point when a new hero or villain comes along who represents a unique background or race. I’m thrilled to add Shadow Tracker to my Cobra ranks! G.I. Joe media and toys have always gone out of its way to represent racial diversity. It’s a little bit cringey to see how “A Real American Hero” handled this by leaning heavily on stereotypes but the attempt seems sincere. Honestly, I think it helped me (and my friends) to understand the world a little bit better despite growing up in a rural town with all the racial diversity of a cornfield.

Growing up in the West side of Baltimore in the '80s and 90 is to be honest, There was no ethnic diversity. The only time I interacted with people outside of my race was doctors and other professionals. The last time I had a white kid in my class in school was kindergarten. So the only thing I had was media until I started working. 🤦🏾‍♂️

I don’t think the Pursuit of Cobra figure from 2011 or so had any extra info either. I got those 4” figures back then: Shadow Tracker and Helix. I had got the Wraith figure too. I like the sci-fi skew that would come in GI Joe. Now I know he’s kind of an old school antagonist with the knivfe and bow and possible blow dart gun. I had not thought of that. Anyway surprised he didn’t have a fire arm too. There is one thing I’m surprised they missed from the masks. The neon one had holes for the eye sockets so his black eyes peered out from behind it. Very creepy. Maybe they are going with some modern holographic mask effect here. I’m not sure. If so the hi-tech made we wonder why no gun. The 4” had a net, crazy handled glaive type weapon, and a spear to go along with bow and knife this figure has as well. I’ve seen where Tonys Figs cut the vest to be open in the middle. It elevates the character in looks and articulation. I may try it.

This is an interesting character, to say the least. Almost a Predator Human hybrid, which I'm digging. I just started collecting transformers last year and said I would only collect TF, but lately I dropped into the Valaverse rabbit hole thanks to you and Junkion.......😋 Trying not to start with Joe's but ones like this seem to go so well with Valaverse....... Side note, I think I'm level headed but have never been accused of being normal........ not to my face anyway....lol.
