Like the Unicron Trilogy of the Transformers I enjoyed growing up back then, this was also another one of my favorite guilty pleasures of G.I. Joe growing up but also has a soft spot for lol.

I am a Small Soldiers fan and this toy line reminds me of the Small Soldiers. I own a Heavy Duty and he reminds me of Butch Meathook.

Yeah I have a cuz who skalps and even he couldn't find that second Cobra Firefly, so you're really lucky. BTW another good figure using that mold was the Sigma 6 Iron Grenadier. I'm not an army building type of guy but I manage to get about five of them and I'm down to get them anytime I see them pop up on the second hand market. They just have this awesome sinister yet beautiful gas mask face, that really makes them seem like foot soldiers with a lot of personality.

TMan978 cool back to the/my past review man. I still have all mine sealed in their hard case wave one like shells or smaller packaging for some of the newer ones. I remember seeing destro at kaybee I'm trying to think if I actually got him. I know I have all the joes still misb, like 2 dukes, 2 heavy loads, snake eyes, mainframe(was it?), then storm shadow, and I definitely have cobra commander. I remember how hard he was to find. I think I was able to get some mech like bats too and maybe firefly in small packaging? Not sure about destro and zartan. I don't think zartan made it to my collection. Ive always collevted gijoes and i usually nvr play witg yhem as o have all my 25th anv sealed still. But the sigma 6 i watched the toon and played with the figures (which btw were totally brutes compared to today's toys. Yikes) Good times man, good times. Thanks bro

Had a fair few of these growing up, wave 1 for sure: Duke, Heavy Duty, Spirit, Snake eyes and storm shadow. Later on got ninja armor snake eyes, destro, and zartan. After that i just kind of, meh. I saw some here and there on shelves growing up but didnt get them.

@@TMan978 I managed to re- track down a couple of the figures that I had in my collection along with a couple new ones that I never had. I pretty much picked up all of my wave one figures Duke the version 1 Snake Eyes heavy duty and spirit and of course Storm Shadow I have all those back I found a couple of them Duke Storm Shadow heavy duty I found boxed I have a boxed Snake-Eyes coming and all that's left is Spirit which i got loose. I recently ordered the wave 2 long range version 1 with the trench coat. I also picked up the desert long range wetsuit, and someone called lockdown

When my children were young we played with these figures non stop for years. We swapped accessories, brought the outside, made movies, lost all of the pieces, man those toys were loved. I need to track down the missing pieces and restore this wonderful touch line.

Great review! Wish they would reboot these figures. I still collect them, took them for granted, need new line, should propose for new line.

If the reboot the line, I'd want them to have articulation. Realistically, one of the Deluxe figures would probably cost 30 to 40 dollars to produce now. So they will probably shrink them down to Marvel Legends. And give them Marvel Legends bodies. With less accessories so they still would end up being like $25. Smh, Hasbro's real greedy lately. There is no reason for Marvel Legends to be more than $15

Hey, thanks for the reply! Btw, Great review! these are much bigger and better than the marvel legends, more accessories, cloth gear, weapons are amazing! Very posable, great color scheme, the 2.5 vehicles are outstanding, the show was action packed! 3.5 figures was nice but time has changed, bigger, better articulation, overall each figure was worth the cost. This 8 inch line helped paved the way for bigger and better figures.

I wish I would have bought more of these. I remember looking at them in stores while hunting for TFs and I only ever bought 1: The Duke toy with tons of weapons and electronics. As soon as I realized how cool that figure was it was too late. The shelves were empty and they were gone forever.

i have them all and a few doubles. opened like 30 - 40 and the kids play with those ones. the full collection is still in packaging. good condition but these are not intended to be collector grade packaging. only missing a packaged mech. opened mine and couldn't find a new one.

Spirit had a sort of T-shaped bird perch that Freedom (The eagle's name) pegged into, and Spirit held on to the lower part
