The parasols are beautiful. I decorate my Christmas tree in Victorian lace ornaments, these parasols would look lovely on my tree!!! You have the most wonderful ideas!! Thank you for sharing!!

These remind me more of days gone by parasols. All ladies used them to keep the sun off of them. At least fine ladies...we every day working women wouldn't have. But then that was then and this is now and we can have them for our journals. 🥰 Thank you for sharing your ingenuity! 👍🏻🥰

When I was a girl, my mom made my sister and I closed parasols for an Easter parade play we were in, in school. She used wire clothes hangers, newspaper and lace. They were a hit, and beautiful. You have taken me back to a good memory with my mom, ty. ( we lost our mom Dec. 1977), I was 19. 🥰

A little bead on the top really finishes them off and you can add one to the handle too to match tip. Pearl beads look lovely ❤

Little note. If you don’t have the wire for the handle. Just take a paper clip unfold it and go from there. Dollar Tree or Dollar Rama sells wire in the floral section. If you don’t have material check at you Dollar stores for their 3 to 4 inch wide ribbon which usually has wire in it. Cut a piece of wire ribbon take your needle nose pliers and pull the wires out. Now you have lovely material and wire as well. Cheers from US. 🇺🇸💜

Omg how adorable cute. Love these umbrellas. I am still making your adorable little hats for Mother’s Day and adding them to a card . I made the hat into a pin so they can wear it for Mother’s Day . Card made from small brown lunch bag. Has the pockets to hold Mother day photos for 2021. Of course added lace buttons etc. like a little keepsake.

Adorable! Instead of wire for base, I used an ink pen refill and small bit of wire for wrapped handle. It will be the pen for my French journal I'm working on, because I always include a paperclip or flat pen in my journals.
