The only thing I don’t like about global is how less f2p friendly it is compared to JP, first they remove free single from daily mission then they changed how limit breaking works in this game. JP gives you character dupes to use on limit break but global just gives you the limit break straight up with no dupes. While you may be tricked into believing global is doing it better, it’s not when you realise JP doesn’t force you to use the dupes on specifically limit breaking, so you can farm dupes from ssr you don’t use and spend in shop to buy something like seasonal ssr skill pages

1) they buffed monthly rewards AND made it 20 days instead of 30 so you get only about 300 crystals less on global now, BUT you also get 6 extra Universal SSR dupes a year than JP will give so it is very good. 2) the "rank up" system you are talking about for JP and you getting 5 of the shards from bond is NOT for dupes. on JP you NEED THE 5 SHARDS to promote to LR so it is not used for dupes. the dupe system is the same on global and JP.

My advice would be focus on story until you cant progress, also try joining a good squad it will give you good assisting mages

You have to rank them up using the little triangle stones in 'Rank Up' next to level up and once you fill all 4 clover leaves and get the max level (60/60 etc) you can promote them.

Personally if you are F2p. All player will get SSR Charlotte for free. And from the 20 free pull get SSR LOTUS (save LOTUS result if you get him). And from the selective seasonal choose SSR MIMOSA.. the reason is because in season 2, they gonna release SSR NOELLE swimsuit which is really OP. Charlotte and lotus are very good in PVE content especially boss fight and grinding. Season 1 asta and red Yami are balance but season 2 Noelle will definitely outclass both of them.
