우리는 크리스찬들의 신앙의 여정을 “길”에 빗대어 말할 수 있다. 예수를 믿는 성도들은 모두가 이 길을 걷는다. 이 길은 예수께서 먼저 앞서가신 길이며, 좁고 협착하여 찾는 이가 적은 길이다. 그러나 이 길을 통하지 않고는 하나님께로 올 자가 없다.
많은 사람들은 이 길을 선호하지 않는다. 그들에게 예수의 길은 미련한 길이다. 오히려 그들은 시력이 어두운 양들처럼 각기 제 갈 길로 가버리며, 죄인들의 길에 서기도 하고, 사망의 음침한 골짜기로 다니며, 멸망으로 인도하는 넓은 길을 선택한다.
“많은 사람들 자기의 영광 구하고, 스스로 높이며 살아가곤 하지만” - 곡 가사 中
그러나 하나님 나라의 참된 백성들은, 세상 사람들의 눈에 한없이 미련해 보이는 길을 기쁨으로 자처한다. 그 길은 우리를 위하여 휘장 가운데로 열어 놓으신 새로운 살길이며 영원한 생명의 길이기 때문이다. 그리고 십자가의 길(道)은 멸망하는 자들에게는 미련한 것이요, 구원을 받는 우리에게는 하나님의 능력이 될 것이다!
이 길의 종착지에서 우리를 기다리고 계시는 한 분이 계신다. 그는 먼저 이 길을 가신 분이시다. 그리고 그분을 따라 끝까지 이 길의 여정을 완주한 모두를, 빛나는 영광의 주님께서 따뜻하게 맞이해 주실 것이다.
이것이 바로 레비스탕스의 꿈이다. 이 꿈을 온 세상과 나누기를 원한다. 삶의 길을 잃은 누군가에게, 선택의 기로에 놓인 누군가에게, 헤매고 있는 누군가에게 이 음원을 통하여 영원한 생명의 길을 소개한다.
