No, he's not you all do NOT want to admit the facts because it tarnishes Lebron's legacy. Neither Jordan nor Pippen "Requested" or "Sought after" Dennis Rodman, neither of them called players to come to Chicago, Jordan went to the organization due to the teams need for rebounding, he was asked "Who should we go after" and he suggested only one name which was Charles Barkley, the GM felt he would A.) Cost too much B.) Would be too much of a problem. this led to the organization using a low-ball tactic and went after Rodman, the upper brass had to come to the Coach (Jackson) then go to the individual stars one-by-one to ask them how they felt and to offer their blessing. What I've presented is NOT THE SAME as what Lebron did in his era, what Durant followed suit doing.
@SummerAwe993 ай бұрын
@@TKNLordiceman826 na you're moving the goal post. Magic said he wouldnt get drafted unless he went to LA with Kareem. Big market teams in the 70's and 80's got ALL the talent handed to them. MJ 100% played a role in getting Rodman and also said he would retire if Pip left... Lebron had to leave his organisation to get a semblance of comparable talent to other all time greats... grow tf up that doesnt change how good he is.
@TKNLordiceman8263 ай бұрын
@@SummerAwe99 Once again revisionist history and people lying, I am not moving the Goal Post at all!! 1.) Magic couldn't say that and he didn't, Jerry West went TO HIM to convince him to BE their #1 overall pick, the Lakers made a trade with the Utah Jazz in order to come up to land the pick. Lakers went 47-35 in '78-'79 losing in the 2nd Round to the SuperSonics, prior to that, they has not made the NBA finals since '72-'73 2.) The Lakers ALSO traded with the Cavs despite winning the title the very next season in order to land Worthy. Back then the league required teams to compensate others if they signed one of their (former) players in free agency. Ted Stepien just thought he was making a good deal trading with the Lakers. The Jazz wanted to sign Gail Goodrich to pair with Maravich, and Goodrich was a free agent at the time. Except free agency didn't exist how we know it now, and if a team wanted to sign a player (and keep in mind, wasn't under contract from his previous team anymore), they had to offer compensation of some kind to the team the player was leaving. Also, the compensation wasn't decided on between the teams but was decided on by the league offices in arbitration.
@TKNLordiceman8263 ай бұрын
@@SummerAwe99 1.) I explained how MJ played a role in landed Rodman YOU are not pushing the Goal post, MJ knew the team needed rebounding, Jackson knew the team needed rebounding, MJ "suggested" Barkley NOT RODMAN please stop lying, Barkley wanted his friend but Jerry Krasue ALWAYS wanted to stick it to Jordan to make it seem like "Without me, you wouldn't be you" so he never made an offer to Barkley, he went after Oakley (a player who'd already played their) and he went after Rodman. Krause already made his decision to go get Rodman, put the wheels in motion to land him and made it seem like Jackson and MJ had a full say, if you go read Phil's book he admits Krause made the move before he talked to both he and MJ, the talk was just a formality and it was made Jackson's job to make it all work. Jackson is the one to have the 1-on-1 meeting with Pippen who originally said NO and then replied "What did Michael say, Krause and MJ had to do 2 separate talks, so the deal didn't blow up, MJ's issue was "Can you control him", the 2nd meeting was with Phil and MJ then MJ got Pippen in and they decided together.
@TKNLordiceman8263 ай бұрын
@@SummerAwe99 Either way, nothing you described is on the level of what Lebron did. Jordan threatening to retire if Krause let his #2 option go off to free agency is NOT the same as Lebron forcing the Cavs to over pay Role-Players like Tristan Thompson, J.R. Smith, Kyle Korver, and after they did so, he complains about "Not having playmakers or the money for playmakers" and then leaves the team. Lebron has left every single team he's been on in shambles due to the free agency moves he's requested, he's never satisfied. Let's also NOT forget how the Superteam was supposed to be formed, they planned this at the Olympics, they were going to bottle neck Free-Agency that year and lockdown the league, the catch was Chris Paul was the only "Banana Boat" friend who was not free to do so, Wade, Melo and Lebron all were due to their draft year, it was supposed to start with Melo, then Paul, then Lebron then Wade in that order, Lebron couldn't convince them to come to Cleveland to play, then they tried to find a team that could pay all of them and the only two teams were New York & Chicago which is why Wade started threatening if he didn't get the $16 Million, that's where he was going. You all playing coy, Lebron literally shaped the league to BE this way but when others became successful at it, you all made the others the villians and not him
