Tbh, Jordan is my favorite and the goat, but I understand what B Jennings is saying. Look at a guy like kyrie or Kobe and they were prodigies. Jordan was small and trying to play baseball as late as 14 or 15. Problem is, with Jordan, you're dealing with a big bang caliber event in regards to his genetics physically and mentally. Add his upbringing and playing for Dean Smith and you have something beyond a prodigal 6'2 player like kyrie who has a wayward personality.

Kobe had a bit more street ball to his game than MJ. Like Gil said-structure and no structure basketball
@LakeShow-24813 күн бұрын
Not only was MJ a lil more advanced than Kobe athletically. But he also played in an era with WAY less perimeter athletes AND had defense rules that allowed him to constantly have easy 1on1s. Compared that players that had their prime in the 2000s (dead ball era) It’s not taking away from Jordan’s greatness, he just didn’t NEED that much skill because of everything I mentioned above. Same with LeBron. That extra athleticism is the reason his skill has never been top echelon like Kobe, Kyrie etc. plus Kobe just played in the worst era for scorers possible. Another way to put it, give Kobe, Vince Carters body. Kobe would probably have 8 rings. Now imagine if you enhanced Kobe’s athleticism AND you put him in an era where you either 1. Can’t double team essentially OR 2. An era where you can travel, there’s infinite floor spacing AND you can’t touch offensive players AND you can foul bait. Kobe played in an era and team situation that make it hard for most people to understand that he’s actually the goat. You gotta have a lot of critical thinking abilities. You gotta know a lot of ball to see that I’m ngl
@ajatathemu3 күн бұрын

I don't know why people often forget about or overlook Magic Johnson. Magic came out to Oakland in high school and dominated the Cali's finest tournament. Then went on to a Michigan State team that was 15-15 before he got there, won a title with him after 2 years, went 15-15 after he left. Came to a Lakers team with Kareem, that won 47 games before Magic, won 60 and a chip WITH Magic, who also had to play Center in the clinching game as a rookie. Magic's teams never won LESS than 54 games. He went to 9 finals in 12 years, lost 2 finals because he was injured. Magic's last season they won 58 games. The very next year they only won 43. Magic has the highest career winning percentage ever. If you want to WIN, you add Magic! Young Magic was DIFFERENT! Older Magic, just WON!!!

"pure hooper" = weird fans' opportunity to name their "erratic, me-first mentality players" who don't get mentioned often because of their IQ/personality they usually don't have much team success but occasionally dropping 40-50bombs or some irregular performances. Hence people love to always mention Jordan Crawford, Jamal Crawford, Michael Beasley, Jason Williams, Rafer Alston, Monta Ellis etc. Tbh all their points always contradicts themselves, they just like to flex their own opinion but they themselves don't know the definition nor requirements, just feelings. They like to go "yeah yeah! that's right that's a real hooper" to one another Best example is Shad/BJ saying Europeans are OUT and then Shad saying Arvydas Sabonis a hooper, really contradicts all the NO he said

Facts the pure hooper is more players that can dominate 1 on 1 like have a elite range of different moves and bags offensively that they can get to, and would be top picks to play in a park type mode cause they just got a range of moves, think player like Kyrie KD Joe Johnson Mcgrday Melo VC Jamal JR Smith Nick Young PG13 KG Webber Cousins Penny etc

You must be young! Pure hooper is about players ready to ball any time not just professionally. Players who grew up with ball on string or broken backboard on concrete NOT trying to get to the league. Just PURE pickup bball

GENERALLY a pure hooper grew up didn’t grow up in a system. Notice how their naming players that are gray dribblers bc you need be addicted to bball to have those kind of handles.

They like to go "yeah yeah! that's right that's a real hooper" to one another Best example is Shad/BJ saying european are OUT and then Shad saying Arvydas Sabonis a hooper, really contradicts all the NO he said

A player who you just can tell loves basketball. They’ll play in a gym in the summer, on a black top or in an nba arena. They can still be good without a system and structure it’s a certain style. Guys you just pass the ball to and say here let’s hoop and they do what they do for example AI, KD, Jamal Crawford, J Will, Nick Young, Lou Will, KG, C Webb, Kyrie etc

MJ, MJ, MJ, MJ and MJ. Sorry but Kobe idolized and crafted his game around MJ. All these dudes played in the league that MJ built. Bird and Magic saved it and Mike made it a must watch world wide and IS and WAS an absolute icon BECAUSE OF HOW GREAT HE WAS ON THE COURT.
@angrybird2107Күн бұрын
MJ is not a pure hooper, he only had a one hand dribble .. he’s not an elite ball handler like the rest of… Kyrie, KD, Kobe, AI, Crawford , KG, T-McGrady, Rose
@kevindsmith10000Күн бұрын
@angrybird2107 LOL, what's the purpose of basketball. To put the ball in the basket. No one did it better but evidence of his 10 straight scoring titles and highest PPG average that he still holds the record for today even after the league decided to abolish the concept of physical defense and shot 50 3s a game. He's a pure a hooper as they come because he's the ultimate scorer. Need a basket get it to him. Need someone to make a last second shot he demanded the ball. Hooping and was clutch. Best player I have seen and I've been watching the league going on 40 years at this point.
