Burns is game for anyone, they all dodged the crazy Chechen wolf thus far. I have nothing but respect for both man for stepping up. This is also a make or break fight for Khamzat because he has never faced anyone close to Burns' caliber yet. Man this should be an awesome fight.

This is where "Hype train shall derail." Khamzat is good but at wrestling den 170, it's going to be very tough for him. He should've stayed at 185 which is more of a strikers division than wrestlers. I would easily pick him against Israel or any top 10 fighters there.

As much of a fan I am of Khamzat, how do you not respect Gilbert for what he is doing? He is so fucking game, and the perfect catalyst to spark fireworks with the Chechen wolf. Durinho means tough and I think he is going to be just that for Khamzat.

He’s awesome but this fight is the biggest one he’s ever been a part of. Thinking he’s making a sacrifice to fight a newer guy is brainless. Khamzat is a massive draw, the ppv numbers will be bigger for this than anyone else he could fight.

If Burns was bigger, yes, he'd make it tough. But nah. His size will make it easy for Khamzat to maul him. Real test for Khamzat is Colby. If Khamzat has an easy time with Colby then he will destroy Usman. Khamzat is just too big and too strong for 170.

This whole interview shows the down to earth, smart dude that Gilbert is. I love him as a fighter and everything he brings to the table but the more comfortable he’s gotten with his English the more I’ve began to really start to like him as a person. A lot of credit to Burns, and Khamzat for taking this one. A lot of the praise is on Burns for accepting this of course it’s due. But there has to be something said about a guy with a few fights in the UFC willing to step into the cage with a legitimate beast. Think it speaks volumes of both guys competitive spirit. Respect to both.

Burns is by far the toughest challenge for khamzat yet. He’s cautious, great grappling striking and mix up and knows how to win but khamzat may end him quick

@@dustingaethje1332 what? How? Usman definitely has the best style to face Chimaev. He has the physical aspect on point for him and technical aspect as well. Burns is one of the smaller welterweights, his wrestling is not good enough for Chimaev, offensively and defensively. Usman has size, he strikes from the outside and his wrestling is top notch. With that said Burns is by all means a very dangerous opponent for Khamzat, but not the hardest matchup most definitely.

Khamzat is legit, and it would be great to see him take some damage so we know he can handle it for sure……he’s fearless af and tough af but does he have a chin? Too many people are sleeping on burns. He was the closest to finishing and winning his fight against usman which no one has gotten close yet. Elite wrestling, strong hands and super powerful.

Burns is a legit threat and I'm actually picking him to win this fight, he has everything he needs to beat Khamzat, he has real power, and his BJJ game presents a legitimate concern. I think he clips Khamzat and sends him to the mat at some point in the fight or gets a submission victory.

@@julianestrada5993 not at all, but the burns fight was awhile ago and easy to forget he almost knocked usman out and and go out of the round barely and came back to win. Cobly and usman would trade in the exchanges but was never really hurt in either fight.

Gilbert is really confident. You can see that in his answer about fighting Usman. He assumed he will win and moved on thinking that after he wins with Khamzat he might have another fight before title shot. My bet is on Khamzat thou. It will probably go the distance, cause Gilbert can take a lot of punishment and he has a good ground game. But Chimaev will be in control from beginning to the end.

Idk where u guys are getting this from. I highly doubt ANYONE will question khamzat IF he beats burns. He’s number 2 so if he wins this is as legit as he can get. If he wins in the first round than it really is over for Kamaru. I don’t see kamaru lasting more than 2 rounds with khamzat if he beats burns.

Gilbert seems like a great guy but I’m not sure it will be a war. We will see, but Khamzats ground and pound is on a whole other level. I think it will be a mega dominant performance for Khamzat and I think Burns knows it. Good luck Burns.

It’s the degree at which he’s dominated those fights that suggests he’s the real deal. Those were all trained fighters and he made each of them look like children. Joe Rogan is quite experienced in MMA as a commentator and he’s a skilled fighter as well, and he sees it. Burns might get some shots on Khamzat, and it might even go past round 1, but Khamzat will likely win the fight. Burns is a great match up for him though. Khamzat is still four inches taller with a 5 inch reach advantage. He’s strong as hell. Burns will not have an easy time and he knows it. Maybe after this fight you’ll finally see how good Khamzat really is. I’m certain the guy will become the champ.

Burns has a pretty big disadvantage in this fight. He's a small welterweight, and Chimaev is as big as Till. The Chechen can bully him if Burns proves to be a bigger challenge than what he thought.

Big respect to Burns for taking this fight. Burns doesn't have to fight Khamzat at all. He could've fought the winner of Colby vs Jorge, or fight someone else in the top 5. Instead, he fights the guy who everyone is avoiding. Can't respect Burns enough for this. Total badass.

Gilbert is a legend..one of my favourite fighters inside and outside the octagon. Class act yet I can't see him winning as he struggled to get chunderboy onto the mat. The size and wrestling is the difference here..Gilbert being a big lightweight and khamzat being a comfortable middleweight. I see him getting gassed toward the end of the 2nd

If he's not going into this fight 100% confident then he's lost half the battle already. Of course any fighter can win on any given day so I'm not ruling this guy out. But just look at khamzat's interviews, his overall demeanor. He is an assassin and he knows he will smash this guy. Just doesn't look good for Burns. Butay the best guy win
