Gilbert is a prince! I did my very first in-store signing with him and Kevin Smith back in '98 at the original Golden Apple in LA. He was super cool to me; I was basically a rookie kid and he treated me like an equal. Something I will never forget...

This is the greatest gift you guys could have gave us. Also, thank you Gilbert! You're one of the greatest to ever exist, man. I read everything you do.

not only is Gilbert a stand up, sincere, engaging human being, he's also easily one of the greatest to ever make comics. Great interview, Thank you!

Man what a wonderful interview! Since you guys seemed interested Bob Lubbers also had a strip called Robin Malone after Long Sam ended. He was also on Secret Agent X-9 before Williamson took over. Interesting stuff that’s almost completely forgotten now.

What a great interview. Gilbert's the MAN. Love and Rockets...pulse? Does Catcher in the Rye have a pulse? What Los Bros created is simply one of the great American works of fiction. Period. It transcends comics.

I picked up a copy of Julios Day after the Kayfabe review. One of my top five favorite cartoonists, and being able to see this interview was a real treat. Thanks as always Ed and Jim!

Another brilliant interview - Gilbert is so great to listen to, so humble and with so many super stories! Maybe a little harsh on the Micronauts artists though :P had a few decent ones on there!

I think part of the documentary thing, at least in my opinion is they didn't really focus on the Hernandez bros themselves all that much. I was super pumped for it and actually recorded it on my tv since i was at work. Obviously they were interviewed the whole time and was about them, but it was more about the the representation the work gave than the work or its creators itself. It was well done but I wanted more about that stuff. I think for your average person watching tv that might be more enticing or at least they think it is. of course for someone like me who's been into L&R since middle school/high school when I found out about it I wasn't the target audience for it anyways.

another great thing about all the shoot interviews is that over and over again I see how almost all of these great creators are down to earth, thoughtful, intelligent people. Yeah Im sure many of them have been through tuff times like many of us. I think it makes sense though at least in some ways you have to have your shit together and patience to make comics like they do

of course for so many of the shoot interviews their experience and wisdom really shows

Great job as always, guys!👍 I started Love and Rockets with the Mechanics back in 1985 because I’m always looking for something new/different and interesting! The Hernandez Brothers deliver then and now some very unique comics! I met them at Pittsburgh Comic Con in the early 2000’s and they were very friendly! Keep reading and making comix!😎

Jason Lutes "Berlin" is not on your channel yet. Nor did I see "King City" by Brandon Graham. Plus, as a thought, you need to go over Dick Tracy's adventure with 88 Keys; Chester Gould's "David Bowie years before Bowie" jazz pianist killer.
