I was 14 years old when I met another kid my age. He and his father picked me up in their car, to hang out, and eat dinner. His dad was 'an old guy'. You know, probably 40-45 or whatever. His dad said he really liked this Gilbert O song. I thought, 'Hey, that's pretty cool. Even this sort of old guy likes the song. Like me'. Now Im looking down the barrel of 70 years old. My best friend has been on Chemo for quite a while but has now been told there is nothing more they can do for him. l visted him today in hospital and tried and succeed in not crying at the way he looks now. He is a mere shadow of what he was before. He bought me a nice chocker chain which l haven't worn for ages l am wearing it now, listening to this beautiful, music with tears flowing down. I quess l will be alone again, naturally.

I thought it was going to be about a dog. The furry lips part is what did it. It took a half second to catch up. Kind of like, My Girl Bill, by Jim Stafford. That one sure fooled me. I turned it off halfway through, the first time I heard it. After some adjustment, I managed to listen to the whole thing. He's one funny guy--Jim Stafford.
