Indian pacers weren't a physical threat as such, not even Srinath who had the tendency to bowl 90 mph even if occasionally. So facing them without a helmet wasn't a big deal, unlike against wasim, waqar and Donald. However, the likes of Kapil, Madan Lal, Srinath and Roger Binny were deemed dangerous due to their ability to swing the ball, particularly in conditions favourable for seam bowling.

This is very much right ,Agarkar always used to snap out the main batsman most top order wickets went to him only.He had a knack of getting out set batsman who were playing well like Aravinda in the finals of Nidahas Trophy 98, Gilly here and in many other matches he took top order wickets to either derail chases or break important partnerships.India definitely missed him in the Finals.

I recognised Ganguly commentating and thought which year this was ? 1998 ! Ganguly commenting & not playing, i shrugged it off, then Harsha calls out his name @ 2:22 & then comes the name there - @ 3:28 and ascertains the mind. Very rare for a player to get into commentary during his playing days, especially in prime of the career!

Gilchrist was batting against fast bowlers without helmet. That was the problem with Indian bowlers. They didn't bowl bouncers. Do bouncers k baad aukaat mei aajata batsman lkin inhone bouncers nhi daale. Fast bowler ka khauf hona chahiye k ball lg jaaegi tb jaake wo really effective fast bowler bntaa h.

This was a ODI tournament. Zimbabwe was the 3rd team in it, if I am remembering correctly. Australia won the tournament. This ODI tournament came after the India vs Australia test series in India that India won. The famous Coca Cola Cup tournament in Sharjah where Sachin hit his famous back to back "Desert Storm" hundreds came right after this tournament.
